No problem, you are right, you can work: actually, we can make absolutely almost all with PTE. I writed: for the moment, the inserted pictures as objects (and group center) can help to different screen displays But, for me, it's not perfect (resizing of the inserted pictures...) without a work also with PixBuilderStudio or other to prepare more "fresh" objects, by example. It's a great challenge to improve more this work. I wait the next version for the announced more smooth effects, but, it's true, I don't use the objects for these slideshows (just for certain tutorials or for my family: humour's slideshow with buttons...). I prefer the Digital AV very "clear", but it's only me and I love particularly the work for the improvements of PTE. To be happy with this software is essential. Have also a nice day and good work.

Templates: hard disk writing "automatic delete", from the hard disk, the file if we delete a picture from a project (.pt). I think it's a difficult task...for the moment we can create a new album also. Please don't cry !

A certain problem (as I said in a old time to Jean Pierre) appears with the use of the large transparent gif (he speak about that in his demo): the display is a little more long; with a synchronised show (300ms between each picture), we have a serious problem with the gifs. (I speak only about the "technical" aspect and not about the quality of this good tutorial). We use also sometimes the button group and, for the moment, the inserted pictures as objects (and group center) can help to different screen displays. But we can also directly make the slide show in 1280, as you made or explain to see with a fixed display. However, all this will be solved near the next version with the new engine, I think, and more with a 5.10 with the new editor of objects.

You cannot read a show directly in a webpage. First you must use a FTP software to upload your file to the server. If your adress is: http://mydomain.com you create a subdirectory named (example) shows. You upload the file (.exe or .zip) in this subdirectory. And you call the file (to download) with: http://mydomain.com/shows/myfile.exe (or myfile.zip).

Perhaps, I don't full understood your ask. Copy your pictures from the CD to your hard disk. And after add your pictures in a new project. Then, create...

You must create a file .exe (look at the menu in PTE). Your file .exe contains all. After you can upload it to a server the file .exe (in a file .zip). Some members would explain all that exactly: it's easy. First, please, try to create a slideshow with 4 or 5 pictures.

Me, I don't agree. Sorry. My last preview post explain that and why: it will be more logic for me. Anybody use what he want for to work, and for to save/backup. But, I repeat, PTE ask to confirm "owervrite/replace" before to modify. If OK, we have a error message and it's not very good. We have the choice. Where is the problem ? The function must be full.

Jim, - we speak about the same pte file. In this case, the new image is not added in the .pt, as saw also by Igor - please, look at your hard disk (I also open the pte file from the template and it's OK: PTE find the path, by this file -new picture- is not writed in the directory .pt) If we want absolutely a new save (for keep the first save .pt) with a modifyed project, we give another name to the template or for the project. But if we want to modify the first saved project (.pt), we can do it (by the way PTE ASK to confirm by security). We will not have a error message and a "not full" function. PS: English is not my native language, and I think you saw it . It's sometimes very difficult to explain very exactly the problems, but we always find a soluce to improve and discuss: Igor happens again this problem, as said.

Dear Igor, I'm not sure that is right or it's a mistake from me , or I haven't full understood your topic. You can open template, modify it, and then call "Create template" and give same name: OK PTE only will ask you about overwriting of template: OK But I just found that PTE may show error message: OK (we have, with users, always this message in this case) It absolutely works: NO with me and friends. For an example, I added a new picture in the album test.pt, and exactly applyed the steps at OK (button error message). If I open again the project from the album test.pt (also from the my templates directory), I find this new picture, but only with the way. If I look at the directory on my hard disk, no new picture in the directory album test.pte: this new picture is not saved here . This function is very, very important to save our work.

I answered, a few days ago, as you in the french forum for an ask. I posted this topic for to be sure that is a final way. Is it really abolutely the final way ? For the moment, in this case, if we modify 10 times a .pt, we would have 10 directories .pt. for the same slideshow. Great ! OK, we can manage each time after...But ! Perhaps, the user can also to choice the way to save his project, sometimes more easy...why not with an option also: replace enabled/disabled ?

When we use templates for save, we have, for an example, a project named Light and saved as Light.pt. When we work with and from this directory Light.pt: If we add a picture in this project, If we want to save again the album, PTE don't want replace this Light.pt. If we save as Light2.pt, it's OK. My ask: is this function right so or to modify ? Thanks !

I'm very surprised for this captions of the exif data: often, when we save an image as jpeg, the exif data is not always writed in the picture (save for the web...). By the way, for sure, it doesn't cost anything (a lot of work ), and all the improvements are welcome, I think also.
