Jeannie Barry has updated his website www.beckhamdigital.co.uk See his earlier entry here for May 18. (Must get round to ordering a couple of his latest Medwin Goodall CDs) Ron [uK]

Thanks Limey (Where did you get that name?) For Windows XP it is My Computer>Tools>FolderOptions>View. Well done. Ron [uK]

Surely the rename function only applies to the filename and not its extension. If I have a file Moon.exe and rename it Moon.xyz it will become Moon.xyz.exe. Ron [uK]
-
But how do you rename the file extension from *.exe to *.xyz? Ron [uK}
-
Lumenlux It is in the second sentence of the first paragraph - www.delphiwebhosting.com/Kari_final_20.exe - and it played right through for me without stopping at the "puckered lips". As regards the length of the music Dave, couldn't this be adjusted by careful cropping and fading in at the beginning of the last piece, where the reception begins. Just a thought. Ron [uK]

I would do, what you are trying to achieve, using a picture editing programme such as Adobe Photoshop. You would start with a background then drag your images over and position them as required. Each image would be on a separate layer. Which image should be on top can be set by repositioning the layer to the top of the "stack". Ron [uK]

David You are contributing already by asking your questions. The answers help both the new and old in refreshing our memories in using this excellent programme PicsToExe. Good luck Ron [uK]

George I know what you mean but 'inferior' is surely not the right description when related to the price Ron [uK]

As an ancient I enjoyed the "Puckering" Ron [uK]
-
I didn't do any timing but with me the images froze with the bride and a bridesmaid puckering their lips and the music continued on and on until eventually I pressed ESC. Ron [uK]

Dave In my experience the final size in Kb depends on what work one might have done in photo editing, which I use a lot. My final image I size to 1024x768 (for a 4:3 ratio) and Save for Web at 80%. Of the 35 images I have just assembled into a sequence, apart from the title which is 579 Kb, the largest is 486 Kb and the smallest 153 Kb. I find no problem with that. Ron [uK]

Andrea You have not responded. Was that not the information you require? Ron [uK]
-
Andrea You use a picture editing programme such as Photoshop. Save your Colour Image as #x+1. Convert your Colour Image to Grey Scale and save it as #x. You then add the two images #x and #x+1 to your Slide List in PTE. There are many variations for this method such as inserting a title etc. Ron [uK]

What can I say? Absolutely superb. Soft slow fades, third images, artistic use of mosaics all put together in an excellent sequence. Thank you Michel Augé. Ron [uK]
-
Thanks Gerard for your intervention. The download was well worth the effort. Polo, your presentation was cleverly constructed with some excellent imagery. Most enjoyable. Ron [uK]
-
Sorry Polo, I couldn't find anyway of downloading "NTBR". Only two of the sequences, "Saint-Valentin" and "J'avais un vieux a Verdun", had images on which to click. Ron [uK]

Based on Mike's assumptions and what he has just said about no more room on the time line, if you uncheck "Synchronise slideshow to music duration" (Main>Show settings) then recheck it, all the timings will re-adjust to accommodate the additional slides, if that is what you want. Ron [uK]

I agree Roger. Use changes in types of transition sparingly. Because they are there they don't have to be used. Many of us have numerous fonts at our disposal - you wouldn't change the font for every letter in a word passage, would you? Ron [uK]
-
I agree, the music is Pachelbel but the sequence and soundtrack is Cindy's "Dancing Dreams". Ron [uK]
-
Cindy I have just checked the forum before going to bed but tarried a bit longer to download your show "Dancing Dreams". From it I have copied the the first minute or so of your soundtrack using the method I have described earlier. If you fail to make your own copy from all the advice you have received I could make a full copy and mail it to you. Goodnight Ron [uK]
-
Cindy, you obviously already have some form of recording software because you say "it wasn't that easy to put together in the first place (a lot of mixing was involved)". I hope you will be able to pick something from the various bits of advice which you have been given. Good luck. Ron [uK}

I didn't expand on the settings as I am using Adobe Audition and possibly Cindy is using something different. For Audition it is Options>Windows Recording Mixer then in the Recording Control Window tick the Select box under "What U Hear". Ron [uK]
-
If you have a programme such as Cool Edit or Audition would it not be possible to set the record going then the *.exe file and catch it that way. I have just stopped and tried what I am suggesting and it does work. Ronwil [uK]

Well illustrated Ken. I don't know about the double post, there is a quadruple one on icons around you. Must be a record. Ron [uK]

Brian Your item (2). Images entered in the Slide List are highlighted in bold on the main list. Ron [uK]
