Greg, Ken, Antony and Steven, Thanks for your comments. As I understand it, the most production machinery was removed when the factory closed and what was left was the power station. Why not more was removed or stolen I don't know, the reason might be that it has a fence around it. (I had to sneak in to get inside). Bert

My Interactive Christmas Card For Everyone
Bert replied to Lin Evans's topic in Slideshows & AV Shows
Great active Christmas card Lin, I love the real fire. Merry Christmas to you also. Regards, Bert -
Hi Nobeefstu, Your play back method works very good and is easy to make and understand. The only thing not so nice is the white taskbar flashback on the bottom of the screen between the shows. I used 7.5 and enabled the "Non-Exclusive Full Screen Mode". Is there any way to do something about that so there are no flashbacks? Thanks again for your description. Regards, Bert

Hi Nobeefstu, Thanks for your excelent detailed explanation. It is late now, I wil try the method you descibe tomorow and will report how it works. Regards, Bert

Hi All, Is there a way to have finished EXE shows made in PTE5 and 6 and 7 linked. What I like to do is put a number of shows on a thumb drive, start the first show and they all will automaticly play after each other, with maybe a 15 second black screen in between. So I don't like to go back to a start screen and click on the next show etc. Thanks, Bert

Hi Paul, Beautiful pictures and perfectly exposed, there is always something soothing seeing great landscape pictures. Also to you a Merry Christmas and a good 2013. Bert

Magical show and a delight to watch, can't even apprehend how it was made with PTE. Thank you Jean- Cyprien.

Great pasted show with a variety of visual striking images of the city. Barry you keep raising the bar of what can be accomplished with PTE. Thanks for showing. Bert

In the USA there is as far as I know, no possibility to see winning AV shows. Would it be possible to put a winning AV show in the makers public Dropbox folder, and send a link to that folder upon a private request. Bert

Maureen, Great photography of a beautiful area, the slow panning and the music of your show made this a superb AV experience and one of the best shows I have seen on this forum. Thanks for showing, Bert

Very nice pictures, I liked it that you put in a lot of wild life pictures with nice fall color back grounds. Most of the fall shows I think are too much concentrated on the leafs only. The vertical panning of the waterfall was not completely smooth on my screen. Nice music also. Thanks for showing Bert

Gary What a great video you made and you did an excellent job with converting the original VH8 tapes. I think the black background is perfect and keeps the attention on the video. The only thing I found distracting, was the light colored shadow behind the video. Nice music also. We are going in January for 4 weeks to South Africa, and I hope we will be as lucky as you, to come up on scenes like your video. Thanks for showing, Bert

Thanks Ken, I never think of that. Bert

Hi Maureen, Just looked at your show with lots of stunning images. In the first half of your show the images where to short on the screen "for me" and I would have liked to linger a little longer at some of them. The panning gave a good impression of what it must have been sailing past these (sculptures) of ice. Thanks for showing. Regards, Bert

I get also the last You tube I watched 3 days ago. Even the title and first screen before I click on the play button is of the last You Tube show I watched.

Hi Gerry, Good show with nice panning, zooming and rotation on some of the images. As said before, some pictures would have been better if the tails of the kites where not cut off, but overall the picture quality was very good. The show had a nice feeling to it with a good mix of kites and people and a nice piece of music. As a minor point, for me the show but could have been a little faster. Thanks for showing, Bert

Hi Lin, Great show with fantastic images. My wife and I travel a lot, mostly in Asia but also in Europe and Africa. We keep saying that we will travel in the U.S. (where we live) when we are older . Seeing your show, and being 70 next year is an inspiration to start planning a trip to the South West sometime soon. Thanks for showing Regards, Bert

Hi Dave, Seeing how easy it is to forget to set the color space to sRGB, I have desided just like you to work only in sRBG, and forgo the slide improvement in ProPhoto color space. Regards, Bert
-
Thank you all for the fast replies. It was indeed a "color space" mismatch. With my new computer I started to use "ProPhoto" color space and 16 bits, and when I converted the Tiff's to jpegs via "Faststone Photo Resizer", it stayed in that color space. Now all the jpeg's are back in sRGb and everything looks fine. Thanks to the members on this forum who are exceptional help full. Regards, Bert

The Attachment of the image without the color cast did not work, I have put it also in Dropbox, see: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/12297675/Bert_110803_0013_0_1_2.jpg Bert
