  1. Hi Dave, Yes I am using the default high quality presets for making the MP4, and as I wrote when played back in Media Player Classic Home Cinema or in Windows Media Player or in VLC media player, the colors are way to much saturated. I think it is a PTE problem. Bert
  2. I have made a slide show in the latest PTE 8.0.12 and published it as an EXE and an MP4. The EXE file looks fine when played. When the MP4 file is played, the colors are over saturated and look to garish. This is the same if I play the MP4 in Windows Media Player or in Windows Media player Classic. I never had this problem before, but this the first time that I made an MP4 in PTE 8.0.12 Has anybody else seen this problem with the latest PTE? If possible can maybe somebody make an MP4 from a slide show on there computer with PTE 8.0.12 and compare it to an EXE from the same made show. All the images are in the sRGB colorspace> Any suggestions what to do? Thanks, Bert
  3. Exactly as you wrote. Thanks, JT Bert
  4. In the slide show I am working on, whenever I do a "preview from this slide, (The little loaf) the sound starts from the beginning of the slideshow and not from the slide I do the preview from. When I do the "preview from this slide" in the little window, the sound start where it should be in the slide show. When I do a "preview from this slide" full screen" (the 4 arrows on the right) the music starts also only from the beginning. I have never had this before, and don't know what setting I could have changed. Any explanation please. Thanks, Bert
  5. Aaron, You write that you make a 1920x1080 slide show. You also write also that the resolution of your images is 1400x1080 max. If you make a slide show of 1920x1080, your resolution should be minimal 1920x1080 otherwise you see your images at more than 100% and they will loss a lot of detail. I am not sure, but maybe that is the problem. Bert
  6. Hi Lin, Very realistic and relaxing, loved to see the bear walking by. Bert
  7. Hi Mur, I get my own dropbox account also when I click on your link Bert
  8. Lin, Merry Christmas to you also, Bert
  9. Barry, An excellent and clear explanation, I agree with you about the default. Bert
  10. Lin, The jewelry and show are both beautiful, Merry Christmas, Bert
  11. That's good info Dave, I had no idea there was something like a snipping tool. Thanks, Bert
  12. I thought I had read that it was ALWAYS wrong to remove a slide while in the timeline, hence my request to make it impossible. Bert
  13. In the last weeks I have worked on a show with 315 Slides and 10 pieces of music. I don't make that much slideshows and made a lot of mistakes. It took a long time to get the timing of the slides and the music correct. One of the mistakes I kept making was to remove a slide when I was in the timeline, I have read on the forum many times that you should not do this as this wrecks havoc with your timed slides. But when you working in the timeline, you don't always think of that. You can in the timeline right click the slide and click remove. My proposal is to GREY the remove button out when you right click a slide in the timeline and make it impossible to remove the slide when in the timeline. Thanks, Bert
  14. Igor, I don't mind to start from the new position you show, as long as it does the same as the "Toaster Button" does now, start with the slide before and shows the transition. The button you mention, now starts the slide without the transition. Bert
  15. Thanks Yachtsman, I am just in the process of trying to add a few videos to my slideshow. I don't do that regular, so your Youtube video came just at the right time. Bert
  16. Thank you All Bert
  17. I am working with about 300 images in a show, and when I go in the timeline view, I like the possibility to see the time in 1/10 of a second. Now all the images in the timeline look so close together. In the users guide I typed in "Expand Timeline" but it could not find anything. Can anybody tell me how to expand the timeline so I can see the decimals of seconds? Thanks, Bert
  18. If technical possible, I am also in favor of this option, would make it possible to zoom or pan while the border stays in place. Bert
  19. Hi Lin, You understood precisely what I wanted to do, and your explanation was very clear. Ones I read your explanation on how to do it, it took me all but a few minutes to make the black separation. Thanks for your help. Regards, Bert
  20. Hi There must be a simple solution for this, but I can not find it. I have two pictures and they each fill half of the screen. They are of different size one is at 100% and outside the screen area on the top the bottom and the right side. The other image is 85% and is outside the screen area at the top the bottom and the left side. One of the images is on the foreground and the other is the behind image. It looks now if they but each other in the middle of the screen, but one is maybe 10% behind the other one. I like to have a small black area between the two images in the middle. I looked at the "at Frame" and "at Rectangle" but could not understand it even using the help screen. It must be simple to have two images on the same screen divided by a black stripe, but I can not find it. Can somebody maybe give my "exact" instructions on how to do this. Thanks, Bert
  21. Morturn, Thanks for your comment, I read on line some of the fond memories that the "now older" women had from the time they were at Bennett College in the forties and fifties, and how sad they where to see it deteriorate to the point were it was falling apart. Bert
  22. Great pool, nice song and beautiful woman. Bert
  23. Judy, Thanks for posting these links to the history and context of "Halcyon Hall" Bert
  24. Halcyon Hall, I have submitted this slideshow to "slideshow club" This more than 100 year old building was located in Millbrook NY. The outside looked like something out of a movie. A few years ago my friend and I went to see what it looked inside, knowing it has been abandoned for 33 years. Shaky wooden floors, ceilings on the verge of collapse and police patrolling regularly outside made for an adventurous photo shoot. All the inside pictures are done in HDR to get the look we liked for this show. I have updated the show to 16x9 format and a MAC version. The building is now demolished.
  25. Hi Lin, I could open it, good quality.
