I've read the Help FAQ but cannot see how to add a photo tomy my profile; could someone assist?

I have registered with the forum but not yet bought the 6.5 program. I am not a computer whizz-kid but picture-taker (did Slides & Super8 cine) wanting now to make DVD's from digital stills. If I buy the 6.5 for the home desktop computer can I also put this onto my laptop comp to work away from home, or do I need to buy two copies? How would I do this? Advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
