  1. Thanks for confirming that the navigation / mouse behavior is "erratic" from previous versions. Let's see what Igor makes of it.
  2. In project options, advanced tab: control of show: mouse buttons - I have set for Next Slide and Previous slide. In older versions this allowed me to click anywhere on an image an advance or go backwards. The 6.0 (beta 18)and 5.7 (beta 6) don't do anything unless I am clicking on the nav bar arrows. What am I doing wrong to prevent the mouse buttons from working in this way? Thanks.
  3. Thanks!!! The sounds were recorded using a mini disc recorder. I left out of the show another 15MB of mp3 sound files that would be played by your default mp3 player, in order to save space. The only effect is that one slide with the "music" has 9 dead links to these songs. These were singing performances by the staff of the safari camps. I design my shows to be distributed by CD so file size is usually not much of an issue. This hosting server (see http://www.icdsoft.com/hosting.php) looks to be a really good deal. For US$65 you get a year of hosting including new domain name registration, 333MB of space, unlimited emails and more. I have another show that I did earlier this year on The Temples of Angkor / Cambodia but it is over 100MB so I need to wait till I register another domain before I can post that one - unless someone else has a lot of space and bandwidth to share. I could use file splitters to break up the file into several chunks, but I suspect that it would probably end up being more confusing to novices than helpful. What do you think. Keep me posted if there are ongoing download problems. Thanks again and aloha, Mitch
  4. I just successfully downloaded the show to my computer. Took about 5 minutes - no problem. Do please try again. alrobin: Thanks for the kind word on the images on my website. They are from multiple trips - most over the last several years. This summer's Africa trip was certainly one of the best if not the best for everyone in my family. Breaking the show into pieces would be problematic as I have a lot of navigation links throughout the show and removing pages throws everything off. In fact that would possibly be a nice feature for a future version - the ability to change an internal link to another slide to a relative navigation link - so links went to a fixed # slides before or after the current slide instead of a specific slide number. Aloha, Mitch
  5. Thanks for trying the download Ken. This is on a new, and untested by me, server - so I'll be interested to see if completing large downloads are an issue. Thanks, Mitch
  6. I have uploaded a new P2E show at http://www.silverfallsranch.com/africa.exe. This is quite large at 67MB, so I don't recommend downloading with a dialup modem. There are 447 "slides" from an incredible photo safari trip this summer to Botswana and Zambia. I did not include 9 additional mp3 files that I recorded of singing from trip, although there is some embedded animal sounds in the exe. In case anyone is interesteed, the photos were all digital and shot with Canon digital bodies (10D and D60) and the Canon 100-400 IS L and 24-70 f/2.8 L lenses. I have a couple of old shows on the Beechbrook site Kula Maui and Peru, but I'm sure this was too large so I put it on a client site that had some space. Enjoy, Mitch Silver http://www.maui2000.com/photo.htm
