Generally I use the options "Wait for Key press to show next slide" or "Loop this slide" when I prepar a project for a lecture. Sometimes I decide to select all the slides and change them to "Show next slide after indicated time interval" just to see how the global project runs. Under PTE 8 no problem, but under PTE 9 when I modify this parameter, all the slide durations are modified and become aligned on the duration of the first slide. Would it be possible to modify the behaviour of several slides without changing the duration of each slide?

Goddi, could you please explain us the artistical (or expressive) interest to put different vues with the same video clip in different formats in a PTE show ? I see the interest for a technical test, but not for a "real" project. May be I am missing something...

Hi Igor. This is what I do but now I an not able even to connect to Youtube via PTE, so I can't generate anything. I tried to use the two password process but it is the same thing. It would be nice if you add in the dialog box an option: "Generate project for Youtube on your hard disk, then transfer it to Youtube manually" this woull be usefull also for people having a narrow bandwith, and needing 60 minutes to tansfer a 10 minute project.

The simpliest way is to use the standard tool from Windows.

I stopped to create DVD video because I encountered too many problems under PTE_8.

Thank you Igor. I am now in touch with 3 officials from the French Federation. These persons organise meetings and competions very often. They need to launch different projects commming for PTE, Proshow, Wings... and they want to do it professionnaly, without any error message or Windows alert. I isolated 3 major concerns. 1) Exe detected as a false positive by an antivirus software. 2) Exe file blocked by W8 or W10 because it is not certified. 3) Fluidity regression on a laptop under W10 because the graphic card is no longer activated May be all these 3 problems will be solutioned if you deliver a player for PTE presentations. https://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?/topic/19688-player-of-pte-presentations/

Thank you jt49. I presume the document broadcasted by the French Federation is mainly concerning Wings Platinum and was written in order to help people who organise public meetings and competitions.. This is why I want to clarify all these questions, in order to help the federation propagate an honest and easy solution.

Thank you Igor. This is clear. You will find here after an other extract from the french document. It is about DirectX. I don't think we have to follow this process, and I would like to know your position. I read on a french forum that PTE exe files use DirectX9 or upper, but I never read that we must reinstall old versions if we are in DirectX12.

I contacted the official wich is in charge of slideshow competitions at the national level for France.The Fédération Française de Photographie is a very large and very mighty federation. Put your converted video (1408*1056) under PTE then adjust it to full size. You will lose very few pixels and get no longer black borders.

Hi; presumabely the youtube dialog has been modified and PTE Video Builder is no longer able to upload a video to Youtube. Here is the screen I obtain. Conversion is OK, Tranfer is OK, but there is no link to the Youtube project and I don't find any new project in my Youtube personal space. I am able to drop the saved file in my Youtube space, so it is not a problem of access rights. Could you please check it and correct it ?

Did you try it ? Could-you show us your result ? I tried it and my result was very poor.

It seems that the two photographies have been not taken with the same angle of view and from the same location. I tried to align the two towers in the left and the differnce of syze is obvious.

Hello. There is maybe an indirect problem. Last week, The migration from W7 to W10 was performed correctly, but two days ago, I discovered that several fonts previously downloaded were missing. When a font is missing in a PTE project, there is no alert message. The font is just replaced by the Arial font. If the missing font is not very different than the Arial font, you may not notice it, as in my case. The Vani font was replaced by the Arial font. After analysing 120 PTE Projects, I discovered 8 other missing fonts and I downloaded and installed them again. I used a visual basic program to research all these fonts in my 120 PTE projects, but without this program, it would have been difficult to identify all these fonts ! It would be nice if PTE could send us a warning message in case of missing font.

Bravo, Lin, this is really impressive ! The question is : do we need all that stuff to create a slideshow including photos and video ? Is it vital to use a rolling cube or a globe to present our last vacations, or the an anniversary, or a wedding ? Making any 3D animation with PTE is time consuming, a lot of time, too much time, because it is generally not something essential for the message we try to deliver through our show.

This what I did for the firs message, but after verification, I discovered that the profile was applied, but not specified in yhe metadata !

Oups ! I am sorry. I Use the new Photoshop command "exportation" and the color space code is not included into the metadata ! Same thing with the old command "save for Web" In order to include the colour space code in the metadata, you must only choose the command "Save" or "Save as". You wil find here attached my favorite mask for text. I work normaly under Prophoto colour space, and there is an automatic conversion in sRVB space when I save a png file under Photoshop. As I wrote previously, I will continue to use only sRVB colour space on all my documents. EDIT I suppress the wrong files

You're right. PTE is not allowed to copy the font files in a PTE exe file, because it would be a way to distribute them.

I never bought a font, so I presume that the fonts installed on my computer are free of use, even if I am not allowed to distribute them. Even if I bought a font, I would have the right to copy it from one computer to an other, as far as I am the user of this second computer. Of course I have no right to sell any font file if I am not the author, and I don't have the right to give a copy to anybody. Typically, I am allowed to copy the font file in a folder and then instal the folder on an other computer to perform a training, and I have to desintal the folder when the training is achieved. For instance, when I spend my hollidays at my mother's house, I Install a copy of Photoshop CC to continue to edit my photographies, and I have 3 other copies installed on 2 PC and one Mac. All is legal, as far as I am the sole registered user of these copies.
