  1. Finally I came back to the old solution I'm using since PTE v6. I use a main 5 images, all sized at 1440*1080. Image 1 is the main image, and I insert in it the spot 1 image with a black frame, and then zoom on it. I do the same thing for the 3 others spots. Here is the result, weighing less than 3 MB instead of 22 MB. Final result
  2. Hi Lin. Thank you for your help. I am able to manage this issue using a different way. I have a copy of the general image reduced at the screen size: 1440*1080 pixels. I prepare all the animations with this image, sometimes magnified to 900% under PTE. after that,I attach to this image the different crops reduced at the right size, and everything is running smoothly. This is not my concern. I was able to make all the pan and zoom actions on the large image on only one slide, at full size, and the exe file is running correctly on my PC. Here are the maximum values logged in GPU-Z during the slide show. This is quite acceptable. If you compare to what I obtain with a PTE project with small files but heavy animations, you see that my cheapset was realy not overloaded with my large file. Results with a project countaining small files with heavy animations. So far so good! I saved my new project, with only One slide and a dozzen of key frames, and closed PTE. When I opened it again, this is what I obtained. In my opinion, there is a memory management issue.
  3. Here are the characteristics for my chipset. And this is what apens when I try to add a view in this project: 1200 MB seems to be not enougth, but I have seen by the past that DXO9 was able to allocate more memory size to the chipset.
  4. Bruno, The animation to do what you describe is missing. I presumed that you were not able to do it? Yes ! I added the animation and was able to do what you described. I have less RAM than you but I have a Graphics Card with 3Gb Memory. Could that be the problem? Maybe ! I have no graphic card, but the chipset of my motherboard is a INTEL 4000, able to use more than 2 GB of memory. The performances of my PC look good, according to Windows measurements. Do you think that it is not sufficient for PTE developments ?
  5. Hello. I plan to use pan and zoom into large images to show details. In this example, I took a view of a building with a 16mm, then I expanded the file at 400% and included in it details taken with a zoom 70-200mm. With PTE, I plan to create 6 views: View 1) the total landscape, size 10% View 2) Zoom 100% and pan to spot 1 View 3) Pan to spot 2 View 4) Zoom 50% and pan to spot 3 View 5) Pan to spot 4 View 6) zoom back to 10% to show again the full landscape. I was blocked after view 3 with a blanc screen in object and animation window. PTE didn't tried to use more memory. I am under Windows 7 with 16 Gbytes of memory and only 4 Gb were used, and only 1,57 Gb by PTE. The strange thing is that I am able to generate an exe file an the project runs fine, even on a slow machine, using few resources. Did I rich a limit of PTE ? My original file is 24 MBytes and you can download the project here. As the exe file is able to run using very few resources, maybe there is a way to tune 'object and animation' code in order to manage this kind of large file ? Thank you in advance for your help. Bruno
  6. Thank you Igor ! This new version runs fine. I tried the transition corrected by davegee and it was OK. I have 3 or 4 other transitions to re-write and test, and I plan to to that in about 2 weeks, but I am sure there wil be no problem. Thank you again for your reactivity !
  7. As I said yesterday, I have no problem with exe files, either MPG4 files. The problem occurs only with mpg2 files generated from the "Publish DVD" menu. I started a totally new project, using new images and only your transition: OpenGatedavegee.zip This is the status of this new project: Preview under PTE : OK exe file : OK Mac file under Macboock : OK MPG4 file : OK MPG2 file : BAD Could you try to do the same thing on your PC ?
  8. Thank you for your help, davegee. I tried your new transition, but unfortunately, the problem remains the same when I create a MPG2 file. To be sure ther is no bug on my PC, I decided to use the "Publish DVD" menus to generate a standard project, including standard transitions. Everything is fine, as you can see in these screen captures. When I use a project including only your new transition, this is what I obtain: The screen is not correctly filled, and we see black strips on right and left, and gray strips on top and down. when the personal transition starts, the image goes right and the transition is not symmetrical.
  9. OK. I will completely rewrite the transition and take you informed.
  10. This project runs fine in MP4. I published this transition on the French forum DiaporamaForum, and somebody indicated me that there were a bug when creating a DVD, using the standard options of PTE Menu. This is why I opened this topic. Now, davegee discovered a second bug : the transition doesn't run correctly on a 16:10 screen. I am not able to check it on my HD scrren. I tried to run the project on a fixed Windows 1600x1000, but everything is fine. When I use a fixed window of 1700*900, the transition is not correct, and this sounds logical, because the gates rotate on an axis located at the edges of the screen. I checked the transition itself. I don't find any mistake or error, but maybe somebody will discover one. So far : 1) The transition seems to be correctly written for a 16:9 screen 2) The project runs fine on a 16:9 screen 3) The project runs fine on my portable PC with a 1280*800 screen 4) The MP4 generation is perfect 5) The MPG2 generation is totally wrong 6) davvgee founded a bug in the exe file when running on a 16:10 screen
  11. Thank you for your help, davegee. You certainly founded the origin of the problem. I will investigate in this direction.
  12. I just tried, and the bug is the same. Did you try to publish my project ?
  13. I use the option : Publish show - DVD-Video Disc I set the options like that: then I don't burn the DVD, but save the MPG2 file and the Video Folder: After generation, I try to read the MPG2 file and the video folder with VLC media player, but the transitions run very bad.
  14. Difficulties to attach the zip file... Gate3Dpt.zip
  15. Hello. I prepared several personal transitions; the slide show run fine on my PC, but when I try to generate a DVD, the transition is wrong ! You will find hereattached my project. Thank you in advance for your help
  16. This function is already very useful ! May be you can add a check option "Move also children" in the dialog box. An other feature witch would be nice, will be the possibility to select several key-points with the mouse, holding the ctrl key, and move then directly on the time line. By the way there is two different approaches : Moving all keypoints at a time for one or several objects, or just moving distinct keypoints of one object. But from now, I am just very happy with the existing function ! Thanks again !
  17. Hi Lin. Your tutorial #31 is very clear and simple to follow. I tried it and it runs very well ! The good point is that the window help is a PTE slide, with all the capabilities of a standard one. We can put on it several objects and animations. This will be a great help for me. Usinf the Esc. key may be dangerous during the show, so I prefer to put an "Eject" button on the window help. This button will be linked to the "close Window" action. Thank you again, Bruno
  18. Thank you for your help, Lin. The problem is that I am not always the speaker and I can't guess where the speaker wants to pan and zoom. When it is predictable, I just insert the document after the slide, pan and zoom by program, and then put the previous slide a second time. The sequence is : Slide A – Slide B – Map with automatic Pan and zoom – Slide B – Slide C.... Presently, when it is unpredictable, I open a Picasa Windows, and the speaker is able to pan and zoom through the Map under Picasa, but the two applications must remain open, because the map is a very big document, heavy to load. And the speaker has to jump manually between the two applications.
  19. Thank you for your help ! Generally, I use a link to an other PTE show when it is possible. The help window is also something interesting and I will test it. I will describe you all the context to explain more precisely what I need. Generally, I am not the speaker. The speaker is somebody having a very limited knowledge on computers. Assume the subject of the lecture is "The churches in Paris in the eighteenth century". The speaker presents a view of a church and then wants to locate it on a map dated of 1735, but also to show it on a contemporary map, or a satellite view, and then go back to the show. I can easily insert a button, visible or hidden, to go the page help. Now it is clear for me. I will put on each slide a "hot spot" in top left and top right of the screen, so the speaker will be able at any time to go to the map, and then go back to the previous slide. Thank you again for your help. I will try it and make a report in this file.
  20. Hello. As a user of PTE in "manual mode", I would like to submit a second request. It would be nice to get some kind of GO SUB...RETURN function. For instance, I would like to be able to interrupt a lecture to jump to a map to answer a question, and then go back to the initial slide. It could be useful also when we build menus. Thank you again for all the great job made around PTE.
  21. Hello. I use mainly PTE as a traditional slide show for lectures, so I generally choose the option "use the key press to jump to the next slide". Everything is perfect, and I just wonder if it is possible to add the capability to pan and zoom manually on a slide during a lecture, when the show is frozen on the current slide. Of course I can program pan and zoom before the show, but it would be nice to be able ti do it manually during the show, in order to interact with questions from the audience. This capability would be needed only for the main object of slide, of course. Thank you again for all the great job made around PTE.
  22. Thank you Igor, the Nikon D90 movie files are now processed just fine by the videoConverter ! It works fine also with the .MOV files of my Canon S95. I notice that the resize option is never accessible. May be this is planned for a future version ? Thank you again for all the job !
  23. Hello Bernard. I know that the extension is .MOV on your D7000, but the standard extension for videos on D90 is .AVI and there is no way to changing it, in the camera or under Nikon ViewNX. Of course, I use Freemake for D90 video conversions, and it works fine, but it would be more handy to use the new PTE converter to do it.
  24. I would like to take the opportunity of report an other minor bug. When installing beta 14, there is no automatic import of all user's settings from v6.5, as it was the case in previous beta versions.
  25. Hello. I tried the video converter from a Nikon D90 video, and I received an error status. Same thing with all my D90 videos You will find here attached a D90 video. Thank you for your help, and congratulation for the job already done 110515_135510.zip
