  1. Very nice transition ! Thank you, Tom !
  2. You can attach each clip to any precise slide. Usually I prepare great projects of 90 minutes for direct streaming. Then I cut the 90mn project int 9 or 10 shorts projects very easily, as all the clips are attached to specific slides and nothing is desynchronised. Here a screen copy to show how audio clips are cut and attached to slides.
  3. If I understand it correctly, you use a sound track from audacity which is 40 minutes long. Open your project, go to the end of the first part (approximately 10 minutes), select the sound track and apply the "split audio clip" command. Now go to the end of the second part (approximately 10 minutes more) and split again the audio clip. Finally you will obtain 4 separate audio clips and you will be able to easily separate your 4 sub-projects.
  4. Next time I hope to get it wright at first try ! Here is the corrected video.
  5. My video was not clear enought. This is the correct description: Assume you open a PTE project named GEROME.pte PTE creates a dummy file named GEROME.lok wich indicates to Windows that the project is being modified. Assume you modify the project and save it without changing the name. PTE renames the original file GEROME.pte.bak and creates a new file named GEROME.pte Whem you close the project, PTE deletes the lock file.
  6. Hi. I record a short video showing all the way it works. Wait 10 minutes.
  7. Good idea, and really faster than my suggestion. Personnaly I created this kind of video by the past directly under photosop, intercaling the video backward in order to smooth the movement. To-day if needed I would prepare it under Resolve. I understand it would be nice to have these two options (Loop and Reverse) directly under PTE, but from my point of view, it is not a very high priority. The need for a multitrack version for images seems to me the sole subject PTE team has to work now. My second wish is to add a track devoted to the manipulation of true 3D objects, but this a just a dream.
  8. Denis, first you put keyframes on the video to make it visible only during 0,9s. Then you duplicate your video 8 times and increment the start time of 0,9s more for each new copy. At first glance, it will take no more than 2 minutes. I assume this is something acceptable for an operation which will occur very rarely.
  9. Hi Tom, no need for an extra option. You have just to duplicate your video object as much as needed to obtain the loop you want. It will take you less than 2 minutes to adjust the loop.
  10. something to emphasize: It is no longer mandatory to use normal maps as masks for displacement maps; any black and white image can be used.
  11. Hi Chanfi. Theses masks determine the areas which will be impacted by the displacement maps. Congratulation, Bad Dencer, for this magistral lesson !
  12. Interesting ! Thank you Manuel.
  13. Great ! Thank you Igtor !
  14. and not change the existing transition. This new feature is very usefull.
  15. +1 To be truly effective, we need to be able to set the read cursor before the input point (standard shortcut 'i') and to stop the reading any time after the output cursor (standard cursor 'o'). These keyboard shortcuts ('i' and 'o') are fouded in many video editors. To be able to see the soundtrack under the video would be very usefull too, but we can wait until v12 for that.
  16. Hi Alex, could-you explain the interest of saving a PTE screen capture as a PNG image with Alpha Chanel ? Knowing the great job you make and share with PTE, I'm shure it is something important, but I confess I don't see what you mean. And thank you for all the stuff you share, which inspires me for my own realisations.
  17. Hi, Denis ! I like very much the wave transition, and I think that we would enjoy it also digonaly.
  18. Denis, JKB, Tom, thank you for your suggestions. I will experiment them.
  19. Hi. Is somebody able to find or create a normal map in order to simulate a magnifying ruler ? I plan to make this kind of animation.
  20. I suggest that Barry modifies its style and forces main objects to the 16:9 ratio. If the user is not satisfied by the crop, he or she can open the image under Photoshop and reframe it with the apropriate ratio, but by default the style should do it automatically. It is the way I proceed when I share a style, but it is just a suggestion.
  21. This is the reason why I always force the aspect ratio to 16:9 (or any other) for all images included in a style.
  22. Hi Mur. Congratulations for this animation. I copied it to make a transition Expansion.pteeff
  23. I'm very impressed by the quality of these short videos and I imagine the amount of work needed to prepare them and keep them short and simple.
