  1. In Tom's project I open the Project Options, go to the Transitions tab, I un-tick Basic Transition, I click OK. The invalid floating point operation is indicated. I use PTE 8.0.12 on Windows 8.1 (fully updated). Regards, jt
  2. - I insert a video (2 minutes long) into the slide list. - I reduce the slide time to 5 sec. - I copy this slide and insert it a second time. - I declare the first instance of the video as Master video track. - I link the second one to the Master. - I insert several other subsequent slides including images. When starting the Preview, the audio part of the video does not stop. It plays while the subsequent images are shown. Is it a bug or a feature? Please do not post any workarounds! I am well aware how to handle the situation! Regards, jt
  3. Project options > Advanced > Synchronize soundtrack and slides Regards, jt
  4. It's amusing, isn't it? Best regards, jt
  5. It seems to me that there is a bug in the routine that compares the paths while creating the zip backup. Regards, jt PS: IMO, this topic should be moved to the section of Troubleshooting.
  6. Search each of the missing images as Lin says. Copy them and paste them into the folder of your pte-file (project file). Close the project and open it again. Now PTE should find the missing images. Save the project, perhaps using a new name. Create a Backup in Zip (file menu), unzip the zip-archive into a new folder. Now you have your project file and all media in one folder. You can move this folder to other places. PTE will always find what it will need. Regards, jt
  7. I also have a few standard settings for my shadows, and I can make a choice from my list of drop shadow templates. Indeed, templates as time savers. Question: Will future shadows allow key points? Regards, jt
  8. When I look at Wikipedia in order to learn something about DAM and BIZ: DAM = Deutsches Architekturmuseum / Damascus Airport / Dynamische Amplitudenmodulation / .... BIZ = Top level domain / Bank für Internationalen Zahlungsausgleich / ... Regards, jt
  9. At present time you define the project name when you store the project, while the project name coincides with the chosen file name (excluding ".pte"). As you cannot change the name of a file while being open in some application, I don't think that this is a good suggestion. Regards, jt
  10. In any case where a project contains any kind of audio, and if the MP3 option is ticked, it seems that PTE produces an MP3 stereo file having the playing time of the given project. Regards, jt
  11. Maybe a daft suggestion: What about an upload of the corresponding projects? Regards, jt
  12. That's the consequence of encoded silence. Regards, jt
  13. The MP3 option does not always deliver the best result. In the attached example, running about 5 minutes, we just have a short audio clip in the beginning and one at the end, with silence in between. The MP3 version produces a lot of MP3 encoded silence Regards, jt thunder.zip
  14. Convert tracks to MP3 for Exe. Regards, jt
  15. Stelle die Sprache einmal auf "English (default)". Dann wirst Du es sehen. Bei deutscher Spracheinstellung: Menü: Bearbeiten > Projektoptionen > Mehr > Nach Beenden Anwendung/Show starten Gruß jt

  18. Creating MP4-videos with custom setting, while choosing very small resolutions (e.g. 12x8) produces crashes of x264.exe (H.264-encoder), i.e. PTE does not care for an appropriate input. Regards, jt
  19. I would like to recommend to make your own tests. You may use Audacity or any other audio editor in order to prepare different kinds of audio clips. Define a new PTE project including just one image with an appropriate duration. Insert the audio clips. Then publish the project as a custom HD video (video part at a resolution of 64 by 64). Open the video in Audacity as an audio file, and you will see how PTE handles your audio input. Regards, jt
  20. In the timeline you only see the waveform of the mixed stereo channels, but you hear the sound in stereo! Regards, jt
  21. Sorry JT I don't know what unreflected contribution means This is an obvious killer argument. Hier ein Versuch in deutscher Sprache: Es handelt sich um eine unüberlegte Aktion. Sorry, but I have to say it. If you want to avoid another discussionm (do you mean "discussion"?) why reply, just ignor (do you mean "ignore"?) the posts. Sorry, but I have to say it: We have to take care that in future versions the nonsense of KFSD will not be the only way to go. If it remains just an option, I won't care about it. Regards, jt
  22. Indeed, a nice presentation! Nevertheless we see a rather unreflected contribution. We should not forget that the KFDS feature has been discussed several times since the introduction of version 7 (e.g. here). We still see side effects which are a horror for people who care for a precise synchronization of transition points and music. So there are substantial reasons, not to use KFSD! I hope that we can avoid another discussion. Regards, jt
  23. I have never seen a post like this Regards, jt
