  1. In the Timeline view, I'm often trying to choose the best of several alternative audio clips for a group of slides (e.g. 1st group of 4 slides) in a longer slide presentation. I have to place each audio clip on a separate track below the slide group so that I can (select then right-click and) mute each of the tracks, except the one I want to hear. If I have a similar arrangement for the next group of slides (i.e. the 2nd group of 5 slides) in the presentation, things get awkward, because I can only mute whole audio tracks but not individual clips. This problem is behind my suggestion to add a menu item to "mute the selected audio clip".
  2. I suggest an option to lower the volume of the background track during a video clip or slide automatically. For each video clip it should be possible to parameterize the percentage of lowering individually. It would be useful to link this function to the video clip instead to the audio track, because if the duration of the show is altered preceding to the clip, the lowering of the volume would stay with the clip. You could even think about it as linking the key points on the envelope to the video clip or slide instead to the audio clip.
