What is this?

Recommended Posts

I am using Version 5.6.4 and have saved a Project to a folder on my drive.

When I try to reload that saved project, I get the attached message and the file will not open.

Can someone please explain what is happening here.

Lin,

There was a discussion about this recently and it is difficult to find because the search engine won't accept 5.6.4 (not enough info).

Basically, Igor posted it for a short while and then removed it. I downloaded it while it was available and have it installed as my current working version. I have never seen the error that Ron has posted and if it is something to do with 5.6.4 it is not a common fault.

In the discussion I offered 5.6.4 to anyone who wanted it.

Hi Dave,

I can't find anything in the way of posts which mentions it.... Maybe the posts were removed too - LOL...

Best regards,

Lin

Ken has it and the details of when etc.

Here's the readme details:

Changes in version 5.6.4

* Fixed bug with height of items in playlist of Music tab of Project option if you use high DPI screen mode.

* Fixed several minor bugs.

Lin,

Adding to Kens post above,

The official WnSoft site contains the download of the installer final version which includes the 5.6.4 fixes made as per the WhatsNew file. I also compared the forums v5.64 installer (when avail & posted) with the now WnSoft site's installer ... and they are the same file.

** Ron ... sorry for stealing focus on your posted issue.

I also have never seen this message. Are you still getting this issue after reboot recommended by Barry ?

Ronnie,

You wrote..."I am using Version 5.6.4 and have saved a Project to a folder on my drive.

Ronnie, by any remote possibility were you working with a 'Transparency or a Layer or Image'

which you simply 'Saved' instead of 'Save As' and that Image was placed into your Show-File ??

This may/may not run in Preview-Mode but will not run in Exe.Mode as the Image is missing...

Just a thought !

Hello Brian,

What you suggest is a distinct possibility because I have been having a bad few days (Old age I guess) but it doesn't matter now anyway - see my reply to Barry below.

Barry,

I took your suggestion on board! Shut down my computer and went for a cuppa tea. When came back, the Gremlins had done thier work and the system is now working fine again.

Thanks!

Ron

Hi Ron,

Do you mean 5.7.4 (beta of 5.7) or 5.6.4 the release version. I think I'm loosing my marbles - LOL...

Never mind. I think I understand. I was thinking about the 5.7 betas which the last version is 5.7.3 beta. I need some coffee and a good night's sleep...... Ha!
