nobeefstu Posted August 21, 2009 Report Posted August 21, 2009 Eric,Sorting the new forum should take priority to any fancy new gizmos that are used by the minorityThe problem here is the users browser must meet IPB 3.xx requirements for it to fully function properly."Front-end Requirements (for your users)Our products work in any modern, standards-compliant web browser, such as Internet Explorer 7+, Firefox 2+, Safari 3+ and Opera 9.5+"The price of progress sometimes requires a change to a more modern/up-to-date software thats capable to handle all the new/latest features and functions. xahu34 Posted August 21, 2009 Report Posted August 21, 2009 ... I haven't quite figured out how to make Firefox the default yet ...Firefox > Tools > Options > Advanced > General > System Defaults > Check NowBy the way: This is my 900th post. It could have been more by using repetition and other obvious strategies to raise the number. Anyway, 900 is a nice number, and it is time to rethink the amount of time to spend for this forum Regards,Xaver Quote

Guest Yachtsman1 Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 I am still haveing problems with text wrapping, I've tred using IE8 & the same thing happens, printed text disappears under the bank of emoticons. Clicking in the box restores it into the box.Yachtsman1 Quote
Guest Yachtsman1 Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 The new look forum makes it harder to remember to tick the reply required option. Previously the box to tick was visible, now you have to remember to open the section to allow the reply box to be activated. Yachtsman1 Quote
thedom Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 Eric, are you talking about "Email notification" for topics you reply to ?If so, this is an option you can activate in your profile : Quote
Guest Yachtsman1 Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 Eric, are you talking about "Email notification" for topics you reply to ?If so, this is an option you can activate in your profile :But doesn't that remove the option to receive or not receive???Regards EricYachtsman1 Quote
thedom Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 Yes, it does. It's a general option which applies to each topic you participate. But in the same time you can choose for each topic individually to "watch the topic" / "stop watching the topic" (button on the top right). Do I answer to your question ? Quote
Guest Yachtsman1 Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 Hi DomI have used the stop/watch topic button once, but it doesn't seem to be there on every post/reply???Regards EricSee attached SS. Quote

davegee Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 "Click the green button called "Click to Configure Post Options" under Options"......which appears when you are in the ADD REPLY dialogue.DaveG Quote
Guest Yachtsman1 Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 I've fathomed that now, but I still maintain the process of tagging replies was easier previously Yachtsman1 Quote
