thedom Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 I thought it would be useful if I would create short video clips of tips and tricks I use in PicturesToExe.When I added the comments to the video, I realized I didn't leave enough time. I will certainly take more next time in order for you to read and watch the video.Anyway, if the feedback is positive, I will record others videos from time to time. Please tell me me what your think. This tutorial is played by default in SD quality in the forum. To view it in a better quality and full screen :- click - then click the second icon in from the right of the display viewer. Quote
fh1805 Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 Dom,You've just taught this old dog a new trick! I didn't know that you could click on the words Pan, Zoom, Rotate and get back to defaults. There will be times when that will save a lot of work. Thanks for the Tips.regards,Peter Quote
thedom Posted September 20, 2009 Author Report Posted September 20, 2009 Hehehe, I'm glad I could show you something new for you Peter. You're right, this tip can be a good time saver sometimes. Quote
Guest Yachtsman1 Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 Hi DomYou asked for comments, trying to read the text at the same time as watching what was going on was difficult for me, a verbal description would have been easier to follow, I undertand why you have done it that way if you are not fluent in English?Regards EricYachtsman1 Quote
RayC Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 Hi Dom, Really Great stuff this, and useing the Pause button helps a lot. Often did wonder how you did these things in your shows and now I know. Wonderful keep up the good work. All the best Ray Quote

jfa Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 DomThis was a very good tutorial and this old dog learnt a few new tricks. Actually, I have a lot of mini tips in mind.I will record tips for beginners, medium and advanced users. It would be great to see you produce more tutorials along these lines. The only thing I ask is that as well as posting on YouTube you make the file available for downloading as I like to have it running on my PC and pause then go into PTE and try out the tips. This is much easier if I have the video on my PC, and then I don't need IE running as well, thanks. Quote
thedom Posted September 22, 2009 Author Report Posted September 22, 2009 Hello jfa, thank you for your feedback.I do not have enough free space to upload the tutorials on my server. But you can download the tutorial in a few clicks. This procedure works for every videos on YouTube, DailyMotion, Vimeo, etc...To download a video :copy the url of the video. For this tutorial, copy this url : Go to http://keepvid.com/Paste the url in the "URL" field and click on the "Download" ButtonThen click on "''Download'' (video.mp4 - HD Quality 1280x720) " to save it on your Hard Drive. jfa Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 Thanks for that very useful information Dom.I have downloaded the mp4 file successfully as directed, it runs on Qtime player but no picture. One , more question if you don't mind, what player do you use to play MP4 files on? Quote
thedom Posted September 22, 2009 Author Report Posted September 22, 2009 John, I don't know if it's the last version available but I use Quick Time Player too, version 7.6.4.I just downloaded the tutorial on YouTube to be sure and it plays without any problem. Quote
jfa Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 DomIt may be that I don't have QTime PRO just the free version.I have been able to play your MP4 file with the good old reliable VLC Media Player so I will stick with it for MP4s.Thanks for putting the time into the tutorial and I am looking forward to the others when you produce them.
