I thought it would be useful if I would create short video clips of tips and tricks I use in PicturesToExe.

When I added the comments to the video, I realized I didn't leave enough time.

I will certainly take more next time in order for you to read and watch the video.

Anyway, if the feedback is positive, I will record others videos from time to time.

Please tell me me what your think.

This tutorial is played by default in SD quality in the forum.

To view it in a better quality and full screen :

- click

- then click the second icon in from the right of the display viewer.

Dom,

You've just taught this old dog a new trick! I didn't know that you could click on the words Pan, Zoom, Rotate and get back to defaults. There will be times when that will save a lot of work. Thanks for the Tips.

regards,

Peter

Hi Dom

You asked for comments, trying to read the text at the same time as watching what was going on was difficult for me, a verbal description would have been easier to follow, I undertand why you have done it that way if you are not fluent in English?

Thank you all for your positive comments.

This tip was only a draft and I will record this video again (in a different way) and leave more time to read the instructions.

But I am not fluent in english enough to record my voice, sorry.

Actually, I have a lot of mini tips in mind.

I will record tips for beginners, medium and advanced users.

Stay tuned. ;)

It would be great to see you produce more tutorials along these lines.

The only thing I ask is that as well as posting on YouTube you make the file available for downloading as I like to have it running on my PC and pause then go into PTE and try out the tips. This is much easier if I have the video on my PC, and then I don't need IE running as well, thanks.

Hello jfa, thank you for your feedback.

I do not have enough free space to upload the tutorials on my server.

But you can download the tutorial in a few clicks.

This procedure works for every videos on YouTube, DailyMotion, Vimeo, etc...

To download a video :

  • copy the url of the video. For this tutorial, copy this url :

  • Go to http://keepvid.com/
  • Paste the url in the "URL" field and click on the "Download" Button
  • Then click on "''Download'' (video.mp4 - HD Quality 1280x720) " to save it on your Hard Drive. :)

Thanks for that very useful information Dom.

I have downloaded the mp4 file successfully as directed, it runs on Qtime player but no picture.

One , more question if you don't mind, what player do you use to play MP4 files on?

Posted

John, I don't know if it's the last version available but I use Quick Time Player too, version 7.6.4.

I just downloaded the tutorial on YouTube to be sure and it plays without any problem.

It may be that I don't have QTime PRO just the free version.

I have been able to play your MP4 file with the good old reliable VLC Media Player so I will stick with it for MP4s.

Thanks for putting the time into the tutorial and I am looking forward to the others when you produce them.
