boxig Posted September 20, 2003 Report Posted September 20, 2003 "Order Me" - Free UtilityMake order by click on slidesThe zip include an exe sample made with PTE and the project filewith all files necessary so you can see what I did. Here is the"Readme" file included also in the zip:This sample will show you how customer can make a list of slides toorder, just by clicking on the slide he likes. On first slide(this one) external file named "erase.exe" is called to clear a formerorder list, in case one was done. That means your first slide must bea "Welcome" slide, which usually is.This utility is design to work with projects which show slides byorder without the ability to jump from one slide to another. Theutility counts each time slide is changed so if you jump from slide 4to slide 7, it will think you are on slide 5. In other words, if youmake auto slide, the utility knows on which slide the user is if hedecides to add the slide to order list. How it knows ? When each slideis run, a file called "count.exe" is called by using "Run externalapplication". This file counts the slides and thus remembers on whichslide you are.Adding a slide to order list can be done by a "Add to order List"button or by adding a transparent image over all the slide area, as Imade in this sample. Notice that in this case everything under will beinactive. You don't have to put this on all slides. My transparentimage is "800x600trans.gif". You can put instead your image in thesize you like, depends on the size of your project, or put a button.Under this transparent image or button you "Run application or openfile..." and for program name you use "order.exe". Each time userclick on the transparent image (anywhere on the slide) or on thebutton (if you used a button), the utility, which remember on whichslide we are, will add the number slide to the order list. On lastslide you can add a button called "See order list" (as I did) whichwill open the order list. To do this you use "Run application or openfile..." and for program name you use: C:\SlidesOrder.txt...and for those who want to try my "QuickThumbs" - a Free Thumbnailmaker program..., the new version of "Autorun.inf Maker" - AdvancedAutorun.inf Maker - version 4 (with good help file to learn aboutAutorun options) and the updated versions of "Video Utility" - Addresizeable movie to your photo album slideshow (based on my "DrVideo"),"AutoCD" (for CD distribution) and "Image List" (also for making an orderlist from a slideshow).Another new utility which I didn't give information is "BGpaint".This Free utility was made for PTE members but can be used by anyonewho needs to choose a background color for his pictures or the rightsize of images. The program works only with JPG and BMP files.Images at 800 x 600 will be displayed at 80% of their original size, bigger images will be displayed at 50% of their original size andsmaller images will be displayed at their original size. After you browse and load your image move the colors sliders to changebackground color. You can copy color you like to your clipboard. If you need to choose betwee 2-3 colors, you can save three differentcolors and then reload them to compare and choose the one you like. Each time you reload a saved color, it is automatically copied to yourclipboard which will show a line like this:Red: 255, Green: 166, Blue: 90You can zoom in/out the image and the percentage of the orginal sizewill be displayed. You can hide/show all buttons of the program toleave only your image with the background. Please your commentsGranot Quote
