You’ll find there a small example of what is now possible to do with PTE v6 and only 3 pictures :

on Beechbrook.com (thank you, Beechbrook for your kindness) under the title Sydney Convict Monument

(edit Oct 7th)

The song was written by Maurice Druon, and set to music in 1942 by Leo Poll from a traditional Russian melody. Adapted here by Les Compagnons de la Chanson in 1950.

THE GALLEY SLAVE’ SONG

I remember that my mother loved me

And I'm in the galleys,

I remember my mother telling me,

But I did not believe my mother.

Do not linger in streams,

Do not fight like a wild,

Do not amuse you like birds,

She told me to be wise.

I have not killed, I have not stolen,

I wanted a chance,

I have not killed, I have not stolen,

I wanted that every day is Sunday

I remember my mother crying,

Do not go for girls,

Do not always do what you please,

In prisons there are grids.

One day the soldiers of the King

’ll take you away to the galleys.

Thou shall go in threes,

As they took away your father.

You'll have your head shaved,

There you will be put in chains.

You’ll have your back broken,

And it will kill me.

Always you will have to row,

When you get to the galleys,

Always you will have to row,

You will think perhaps your mother.

I have not killed, I have not stolen,

But I have not believed my mother.

And I remember she loved me

While I am rowing in the galleys.

Hello, Bonjour Jean-Cyprien,

The link is not working for me, because I'm not a member of the site. The only thing I can see is:

Désolé, mais vous n'êtes pas autorisé à télécharger ce fichier joint

Hello, Jean,

Your 3D transformation of the convict monument impressed me with its ingenuity. As the monument turned against its background, I found myself counting the objects and imagining how each one was distorted to fit precisely into a convincing illusion. I repeated the last scene many times.

Now, I can't get that sad galley song out of my mind. :>))

Thank you, Lin, for your kind message. I’m pleased you’ve found that it was a good work. Just an illustration of the new powerful of PTE

Hello Frets3 : the magic of this new version is that we have no more to distort ourself the objects : just to indicate the animation we want (example : turn the object of 360° with Angle Y), and it is PTE which is now working.

Easy job to do with PTE (but after re-drawing the six faces of the walls, …)

Have a good day – Jean-Cyprien

Hi, Jean,

It's amazing to think that 3D transformation in PTE will synchronize rotation of the six wall faces, their edges, and the cylindrical pedestal.

This encourages me to begin experimenting.

Thank you!

Oh, but this is nothing at all , David !

See for exemple, in the Pictures To Exe thread

PTE V6 beta #15 A test of 3D functions by JPD (20th Sep)

A new planet PTE V6 also by JPD (yesterday, 7th Oct ) 2,300 objects !!!

Fabulous !

Hi again, Jean,

Your "Sydney Convict Monument" animation places you among the first of those here on the PTE forum (JPD, Lin Evans, TheDom, and perhaps others whom I have missed) to demonstrate practical applications for PTE's new features. You are in fine company!

I appreciate your links to those excellent demos.

Best wishes and thank you, David White
