tonyt
Help please.Very new to P2E. Managed to produce a show using P2E de luxe and burnt to DVD on desktop computer and very pleased. In order to do more work away from home downpoaded P2E from web onto laptop, used my key and P2E worked fine until I tried to burn a dvd on laptop - it kept telling me invalid or corrupted key. What am I doing wrong?Thank youTonyT
Laszlo K
Hi Tony!It is another computer that you try use the program and it has a different machine number. You will need another key to make the burner work on the laptop. The actual program of the PTE will work on both but not the burning engine. On the other hand just transfer the PTE.EXE to your desktop and burn it.Laszlo

tonyt
Hi LaszioThank you for your response. I just wanted an additional way of burning discs whilst on the move (hence the laptop). I guess I will have to decide whether this 'want' is worth buying another key for.I appreciate your time.Tony

These keys are not hardware locked unless something has just recently changed in the key processing.I would make sure you have properly loaded your original VideoBuilder key by installing it again. If you still have issues ... you can download KeyCopy utility program which will make copies of your PTE and VideoBuilder registry keys. If the Key(s information exists in the main PC registry ... you should have no problem using this tool to make backup copies which you can then transfer/migrate to your Laptop. See KeyCopy link in my bottom signature bar.
