boxig Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 Hi all,In the last week I'm working on a very useful program which can makeyour work much easier. The name of the program is "FrameToImage", aka"PicturesToExe". Since this will be a Free program for all PTE membersI hope you can help me make it better by contributing your art talent. The idea is to have a stock of hundreds of frames and use them foryour images. You load an image to the program and the program puts aframe around the picture. Then you can change frames by click and seewhich of all frames goes best with the image. But this is not all. You can resize the whole deal, image with frame, just by using keyboard arrow to the size you like. You can resize only the image using keyboard arrow and thus increaseor decrease the space between image to frame while image size changes. Then you click "Save" and your image with the chosen frame, in thesize you resized them each, will be saved as one jpg image. If you put all your frames and all your images in the program folderthen you can change frame or image by click. But you can also browseand call any frame or image, bmp or jpg, from any other folder. You can choose any image size or frame size you want like 1280 x 960and it will be reduced in proportion, but any other ratio will bedistorted. And more: you can load an image instead of a frame and then you willhave two images, one on top of the other, which you can resize asyou want.Since I saw many of you make beautiful frames (not like mine) I willbe waiting to get some contribution of your work to include in theprogram so all members can benefit.Fames size better be 700 x 540 for use with 640 x 480 images, whichmeans, the frame better be not over 30 pixels from the border on eachside, but it can be over, which in this case, a 640 x 480 image willcover areas of the frame or will have to be reduced in size. Please zip your frames before you send them to me. I made the first50 frames and hope to get from you beautiful stuff. If someone want to test the beta version, I'll be glad to send youby email, 930 kb.Waiting.Granot Quote
LumenLux Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 This one I really like. I seldom used frames and almost never made one myself. I think this idea of yours may be favorite of many. And you are right, that there should be some great frames come from this talented group. Quote
rick k Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 Sorry to dredge up such an ancient thread. But did anybody ever create a utility to access a library of picture frames (and to size them as well)? Or are there any other good sources for pre-created picture frames? I use PhotoShop to tweak my images, maybe there are plug-ins available for PS as well? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.-Rick Quote
ronwil Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 Rick I am sure Boxig (Granot) has such a utility in his treasure chest. Go back in this thread and you will find details of his websites.Ron [uK] Quote
