I had the good fortune to meet Jean-Pierre at a meeting of Diapostif forum members in May last year. His knowledge of PTE was formidable and his ability to combine his skills in mathematics with PTE produced some amazing effects. He will be a great loss to the French PTE community and to this forum also. My deepest sympathies go to his family and friends.

regards,

Peter

Really a sad day!

All my sympathy to his wife, children and family.

Jean-Pierre was an incredible talent with an analytic mind.

I've learned a lot of his contributions to this forum and the forum Diapositif which he was the inspirer.

His contribution to the development of PTE has been enormous.

Regards

Cor

PTE loses one of his biggest specialist there, not to say the biggest.

It is in any case my opinion, so Jean-Pierre was compétant and inexhaustible on the subject.

With his disappearance, me also loses my mentor PTE.

Hello JPD and I shall end by having a big thought for his partner with whom I join in her pain.

Jean-Pierre was entirely devoted to his French PTE forum "Diapositif.net" and to the improvement of PTE, despite the illness which weakened him day by day.

He was an extraordinary friend.

Igor and his team know how hard he worked with them to improve PTE.

We have lost a great friend who was very precious from many points of view.

I present my condolences to his family.

He will be a great loss to the forum.

Whenever I saw a post by JPD I knew that I had to read it because I would learn something from what he said.

A slideshow that he posted a while ago - 'Penser avec son piceau' I think it was called - rates in my eyes as the most impressive thing I have seen done in P2E.

My sympathy and thoughts go out to his family.

Greetings,

Sad, indeed. When I would read one of his postings, I hardly could grasp what he was up to. But I knew he was pushing PTE to new heights, new possibilities, new discoveries. I marveled at his understanding of PTE and his devotion to make it better.

What a loss. Sincere sympathies to his family.

Sincerely, Gary

My deepest condolences go to his wife and family. I will remember this man in my prayers.

JPD will be greatly missed, an inspiration to us all and such a loss not only to his close family and friends but also to the whole AV community.

Our deepest condolences go to his family at this sad time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with them

May JPD rest in peace in Heaven creating dissolving effects with the clouds and stars above.

He was such a friend and helper to all PTE workers around the world.

JP was indeed a great friend of PTE and this Forum. He spent so many hours working on ingenious ways to apply PTE, and then in trying to explain how they worked for the rest of us. We will truly miss him.

JPD's tireless involvement with PTE is remembered by all of us and the world of AV has been enriched by his calculating and analytical approach, taking PTE to greater heights.

We have all learned so much from him in one way or another, his unique intellect and boundless enthusiasm will be sorely missed by all who shared his dream.

My thought too are with his family at this sad time.

Adieu!

A very sad loss to this community and to A.V sequence makers through-out the world, JPD's work with P2e was immeasurable, to myself in particular as he solved a problem with rotating helicopter blades for me therefore allowing me to complete a sequence I was working on.

I'm sure there are many more members of this forum who can tell a similar story.

Rest in peace Jean-Pierre and my god be with you.

Tom.

JPD was a Great Man. Entirely devoted to PTE, of which he had an incredibly deep knowledge, to its improvement and its promotion; he was very generous and never counted his time to help others. Even during these last months when he was very sick, he kept on helping, testing, advising, instead of caring for himself.

He was an example for us all to follow. We will miss him a lot.

Yes, Jean-Pierre was really a great man, and all of us lost a true friend, a big help for this forum and for PTE users. I was not aware of his illness, and the news is for me a bolt out the blue.

We will miss "JPD".

Our thoughts and prayers are with JPD's family.

All of us are better for JPD having lived. My prayers join so many others for his family and those many who knew him more closely. I have always suspected, but not understood, a strong link between math and beauty in our lives. His ability to utilize this connection while yet living on earth is appreciated. Thank you JPD, carry on.
