Hi all

I have posted on Beechbrook (Thanks Bill) a new show using the latest version of PTE and Ogg. This is a collection of images taken in Prague in May and September this year. I found Prague absolutely amazing and rather than just another travel show I wanted to give a completely different perspective. But I still have a thousand other images to create a normal show!

The show is best viewed at 800 x 600.

Also I have redone 'Fields of Fire' which is now some 5MB shorter due to using Ogg and resizing and some other changes.

I have other projects in mind too, as well as a wedding and a 50th annivesary party to encode. So PTE is keeping me quite busy at the moment.

I tried to download your Bohemian Rhapsody and saved a file Bohem50.zip. I unzipped that to produce a folder Bohem50. In the folder was a further *.zip file Bohemia and *.jpg image Bohemian. How much further unzipping must one have to go please.

Sorry all

But my original upload to Beechbrook would not work, it was 3 hours and not finished. so in the end I sent it to cottage as an email via AOL which then I think further zipped it with the pic for beechbrook. (AOL is always causing me pain)

I have just tried the download too I and cant even get into it, it obviously works as some have got it so I will send an email to Bill to see if he can just post the last zip on the site.

Apologies

I have now taken it that one unzip further as Ken suggested and have been able to view the sequence. Pity about the use of 800x600 as I had the distraction of my desktop surrounding it. I don't propose to alter my settings just for that. However, in PTE, I have loaded a background and, using object editor, the *.jpg image 'Bohemian' and "Run application or open file", created my own PTE of your sequence.

I liked your individual transitions, the subtle changes of colour with a twirl and hour hand fades. Very enjoyable.

Hi Ron

Interesting comment because that now makes me think, because I am using Windows XP, its just a right click on screen, click properties, click settings, change size, click ok. Then you have right size for presentation. Then the reverse to get back to where you are. I use that method all the time now to check sizing and it means nothing has changed, just in and out. By the way I am no devotee of XP! I made the mistake of assuming when I said best viewed in 800 x 600 people could and would quickly change..sorry

This idea of sizing does create problems, perhaps I should go back to all my 35 mm projectors with all the options I had including overlapping fades. ( I agree with Alrobin wish we had it too - yes Globfx has it but so weak in other aspects and no comparison to PTE - My Fields of Fire really needs it thou)

Anybody want 3 carousels, 9 fade units and 1 clear light dissolve unit for full multi media use plus lots of lenses?

Looks fine on my 19" too, when I switch to 800x600, but when I switch back to 1024x768 all my icons, which I normally have positioned where I want them around the perimeter of the screen, are thrown out of position. Hence my other solution.

Ron that happens to me also if i change from 800/600 to 1024/768

that is a normal thing -- kind of like when one starts up in safe mode and desktop icons and the icons on the start button screen get reset from small to large

that is why i have to have my arm twisted real hard to change my screen res

Very nice show Mike. Of course, Fields of Fire is one of my all-time favorites. So naturally I knew this Bohemian Rhapsody presentation would be very well done. Before watching the show, I did sort of expect the soundtrack to be either the original Bohemian Rhapsody or the more recent rock version. But I prefer the music you did use for this show.

I'd also mention I think Ron's little adaptation was clever. With such capability now built into PTE, we can easily package any presentation to our preference. I guess it would be possible to also make "unauthorized" modifications that might degrade or at least alter the intent of the author? I think though it is a nice feature that is unlikely to be harmfully used by anyone.
