All,

Have uploaded an AV, ‘Lanzarote Wild and Tamed’ to Mediafire http://www.mediafire.com/?riwgdgduhmz

Some pics I took on a day trip to a ‘Western theme park’ some time ago.

Nothing spectacular and having taken pics without thinking about AV, the first 12 images are in portrait mode.

I had to keep them as taken, for scale and an animation effect.

What’s in it? Well naturally there is a wagon train and some Tipi and totems. No Cowboys or Indians, but I think they may have been out to lunch.

Unusually there are some creatures I would not normally associate as Western. It is possible Western could mean anything that wasn’t from the far East. More than likely, I was just conned.

Then there was a ruined temple (Eastern looking) and a huge stone beast, of uncertain origin.

Warning contains crude carvings and also no downloaded images used, (so don’t expect much).

If any of that offends you, don’t download.

great collection -- the eagle picts makes me wonder if there is "love" between the bird and the handler the same as between a dog and and it's owner ?

Davy - it seems you have been hiding your light under a bushel. Really good images there and would love to see more.

Love it. Good photography and well presented. We visited LZ a couple of years ago and although we never got to the Western Village we toured the island by car. Even got up to the volcano.

I was still using film then and bought my first DSLR there [being a tax free island I saved a lot of money]

More of your own stuff now required Davy. ;)

Hi Maureen,

Thanks for your comments, you are too kind.I have a long way to go in photography terms.

Maybe this will spur me on to get out and about with a camera.I know what I like ok.It's just that other

people tend to be taking what I like best

I thought I had loads of pics of the 'birds of prey display'.I had forgotten to change

the focus to continuous mode.Ended up with loads of blurry images.

That's what you get when you don't read manuals.

Hi Andrew,

I would be tempted to get something like a Panasonic TZ7 compact for trips away.

Just fit in a pocket, instead of having to lug lenses and camera gear about.

I missed out on the film camera era.First camera was a Casio digital.Massive 4mega pixels

and about £450!

I can appreciate more, the work that you and others put into your AV productions.

So I will have to Google less and get out and do some snapping of my own.

Thanks for commenting/downloading,

Hi Davy, I have thinking about a compact myself. I like the look of Sony DSCHX5VB. But many of the new compacts come with a APS-C sensor.
