Hi,

I've a strange problem using PTE (6.5) with windows 7 64 bit. After opening a projekt, I click "preview" and nothing hapens; PTE hangs and says "no response".

Once again... I create a new project, insert 3 pictures and click "preview" -> PTE hangs and says "no response".

Any ideas ?

Nordlicht,

Have you installed PTE as a 32-bit application or as a 64-bit application? PTE is a 32-bit application and must be installed as such under Win7 64-bit OS.

Nordlicht,

You may try as a test and disable your Aero Glass Desktop/Visual Themes within the PictureToExe.exe program

Find the PictureToExe.exe program and right-click it. See tab Compatability (or similar name) ... there should be a checkbox to disable the Aero Glass Desktop/Visual Themes (or similar name).

Aero Glass Desktop/Visual Themes (or similar name) in Win 7 also uses D3D resources and it may not have enought to share/release with PTE demand of D3D resources.

The visual themes setting returns back to normal once PTE is exited.

Hi,

I'v deinstalled PTE. Then I've installed PTE under C:\Program Files (x86)\WnSoft PicturesToExe\6.5.

PTE starts after finishing the installation. I create a new project and everything ist working normal.

OK, now I save my new project, close PTE and start PTE once again. PTE starts with opening a project (it isn't my saved new project) and PTE hangs afer clicking preview.

I'm not able to use > File > Open, > File save as

@nobeefstu: I'have test to deactive Visual Themes starting PTE without any changing.

Hi Peter

I didn't have to do anything special with PTE when I installed it on my W7 64bit Professional version?

Hello,

When you install PTE under Win7 64-bit, you install it normally there is nothing special to do, even if PTE is a 32-bit application.

Pierre
