Go to Slide...

I notice in the 6.5 version of Pte that a new feature is listed "Go to Slide", could anyone explain to me where to find it and how to use it please?

You will find it in the Objects and Animation screen under the Common Tab

You can create/select a button image/frame and apply a go to a page command when clicked. Go to the button just below Action on mouse click and you will find the options

And the name of the slide can be found, and changed if desired, in the Customize Slide|Main tab. Changing this name does not change the file name under which the image is stored on your storage device.

Thanks for your instructions on "Go to slide name..." unfortunately having selelected the "Go to Slide" option from the drop down menu and then chosen a slide name from the drop down list immediately below nothing happens, am I missing something?

The Action on Mouse Click commands only work when the slideshow is in Preview mode or normally executed playback ... the actions are not performed while in the O&A editor/designer window.

The GoToSlideName command while in Preview mode or normally executed playback is only for one specific slide name and will not offer a selectable drop down menu list of all slides as you might be expecting.
