The Temple of Apollo is situated on the outskirts of the town of Side (See-day) on the mediterranean coast of Turkey.

The temple is in the Corinthian order and has remaining 6 x 11 columns, over which is a spectacular frieze with Medusa heads.

The south and southwest facades of the building was restored in 1980.

It is said that Mark Anthony proposed to Cleopatra at this temple and for the romantic types, a visit to the temple at sunset

is a must.

great detail

try shooting sun with a dirty lens - meter off the ground - lock the reading and shoot directly -- you might get a perfect star

the fade/transition to the closing sequence is really neat

Ken,

Thanks for your comments. Initially I was pleased with my sunset shots. I thought the composition was good, but the more I look

at them, the more I feel I could have done better. The sunset shots were taken whilst I was on a sunset/night tour of the town

of Side, and time was short as the party still had to walk a distance into Side to have supper at a restaurant whilst the sun

was setting. I therefore took these shots on auto and hoped for the best.

Colin,

Nicely done.

Great photos, good composition and a lovely selection of music.

Best wishes,

George
