colin hill Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 The Temple of Apollo is situated on the outskirts of the town of Side (See-day) on the mediterranean coast of Turkey. The temple is in the Corinthian order and has remaining 6 x 11 columns, over which is a spectacular frieze with Medusa heads. The south and southwest facades of the building was restored in 1980.It is said that Mark Anthony proposed to Cleopatra at this temple and for the romantic types, a visit to the temple at sunsetis a must.10.55mb21 slides2min 55 sec1920 x 1080Any comments welcomehttp://www.mediafire.com/?k5vk2gxbpf2r5c4 Quote
Ken Cox Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 Colingreat detailtry shooting sun with a dirty lens - meter off the ground - lock the reading and shoot directly -- you might get a perfect starthe fade/transition to the closing sequence is really neatken Quote
colin hill Posted October 8, 2010 Author Report Posted October 8, 2010 Ken,Thanks for your comments. Initially I was pleased with my sunset shots. I thought the composition was good, but the more I lookat them, the more I feel I could have done better. The sunset shots were taken whilst I was on a sunset/night tour of the townof Side, and time was short as the party still had to walk a distance into Side to have supper at a restaurant whilst the sunwas setting. I therefore took these shots on auto and hoped for the best.Colin Quote
