Hubert Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 A nice gallery of night photography capturing the mood and atmosphere of that medieval town.Hubert Quote
David Porter Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Excellent night photography with perhaps a few too many shots of the cascading lights on the sailboats although they looked very effective. I seem to remember a lot more people around when I visited Honfleur. Personal thing I know but I didn't like the music but it did not spoil a very nice show. Quote
colin hill Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Bernard,Beautiful night shots. I loved your shots of the sail boats mast all lit up from different angles. I could not fault you on a lot of your picturesand perfect exposure.Well done,Colin Quote
Nikonos Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Hello,A Slideshow with night photos to Honfleur around the old harborHonfleur in Normandy :http://en.ot-honfleur.fr/PC version :http://www.auplusnet.com/Honfleur_by_night_Pc.zipMac version :http://www.auplusnet.com/Honfleur_by_night_Mac.zipRegardsBernardHi Bernard,Just viewed your show on my Mac. A nice selection of images - sharp and well exposed. The extreme brightness range can be quite a challenge and I think you have coped well. The sail-boat with the cascading strings is spectacular but too many shots featuring it lessens the impact somewhat. If anything your shots would be improved by trying some images while there is still some evening light in the sky. You don't get too many shots per evening though, but it is well worth the effort if you can revisit the location over several evenings. The other option is to shoot when the streets are wet from rain - reflections in the foreground etc, will add interest. The music I thought was fine and did not spoil my enjoyment of your show. Thanks for sharing.Regards - Malcolm Quote
Jean-Cyprien Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Thank you, Bernard, to share these beautiful pictures with us. I love the sail-boat of course, but the streets also are very interesting. And we want the enter in the so nice shops !!! Bravo. Quote

dpletts Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 Hi Bernard,I really enjoyed the show. I liked the appropriate use of quick transitions, especially when matched to the music - which I liked, too. Looks like a very interesting place. Thanks for sharing.Cheers,David P Quote
