Mike Reed Posted November 15, 2003 Report Posted November 15, 2003 Have any users of Cool Edit pro discovered how to save files in Mpeg format? The programme does not seem to offer this in the Pro version. Is there any other format that works well with PTE. I find that Wav files are too bit and cause problems. Quote
alrobin Posted November 15, 2003 Report Posted November 15, 2003 Mike,Welcome to the Forum!Mp3 is a form of MPEG format (layers 1, 2, & 3). Most audio editors will handle it. I have had very few problems with wave files, and these were due mainly to their size and CD-speed-related problems.Ogg is a "new" format that is catching on more, especially now that Mp3 licenses are becoming so expensive. ronwil Posted November 15, 2003 Report Posted November 15, 2003 MikeYour question puzzles me in view of our contacts at Mid Thames AV. I experienced no problems latterly with CoolEdit Plus or now with Adobe Audition.Firstly when creating a New Wave form I select Sample Rate 44100; Channels Stereo and Resolution 16bit. I believe in the past when I tried to use a lower Sample Rate, conversion to Mp3 didn't work.Hope this may be the answer.Ron [uK] Quote
