ROMARA Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 With the introduction of widescreen televisions ie. full HD. I recently bought a new widescreen monitor thinking that when I created a VDVD in PTE at a resolution of 1920 X 1080 it would give me a picture on tele that did not have to be stretched and would fill the screen It does fill the screen but the slides sit in the middle of the screen with a large black or grey border. Am I missing something? Is there anything in the new 6.5 that deals with this ? ( I have not yet downloaded it ) Bungy Quote
fh1805 Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 Bungy,You don't tell us what version of PTE you are currently using, so we don't know what features are available to you. You could try checking the values you have under Project Options|Screen. I use Fullscreen mode, Aspect ratio = 16:9, Virtual size = 1920x1080. And I then Create|HD Video for PC and Mac which I load onto a USB memory stick and insert that into the USB socket on my TV. The image fills the screen perfectly during playback - and looks stunning.regards,Peter Quote
davegee Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 Peter has nailed it.You need to set your Project Options / Screen to 1920x1080 and make your MPEG at that res.If you are making a DVD from this then you need to UNTICK Fixed Size Of Slide. The resulting DVD will be PAL (720x576) upscaled to 1920x1080.For best results and the stunning picture as described by Peter, use a Memory Key with the 1920x1080 H.264 file loaded.DG Quote
