Barry Beckham (2) Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 On Sunday the 15th May we hosted a full days seminar on the subject of digital AV. The location was the fabulous Lecture Theatre at the University of the Sunshine Coast at Sippy Downs Buderim.35 people attended and we covered a multitude of subjects, such as format and size, creating a show, picture in picture techniques, both static and animated picture in picture. Also animated mono to colour, adding frames and borders and sound editing techniques, via PTE sound and also Audacity. We also dealt with the creation and animating of text in PTE. We were also able to demonstrate the making of templates and backups to Zip amongst many other topics.'Of course we were able to show one or two slide shows too.The theatre boasts, full air conditioning, a great sound system, two screens, so everyone gets a great view no matter where they sit. Lighting systems that can be controlled from the demo station, so we avoid all those flicking of switches to find which ones turn off the lights you want, when you use a strange venue. All this is controlled via a touch screen system. So I could light my work station, the theatre in various degrees and adjust the sound of the PC and Microphone all from a touch screen. The day went well and as a result we will begin working on the content for a Photoshop day.
