Hi All,

I have a problem with Pte 6.0 where I find it nearly impossible to create a 'Start-Screen' such as that in Pte 4.49.

Having spent the best part of a day trying to do this I have just about given up. I have tried nearly every method

of Control & Edit sequences available in:- Project-Options and Customise-Slide and Objects & Animations with

only partial success. However I can not stop the Soundtrack when a "static" Start-Image is shown on the Monitor.

Perhaps I'm overlooking something ? or perhaps it cant be done ?.Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.

Below is an Example-Screenshot of what I am trying to achieve. I think it should be self explainatory.

Hi Brian

I assume you mean what PTE call a "Menu" screen?

If so, what I do in 6.0.4 is to start a new show, add the picture I want to see first, add named buttons, say start for one, highlight it in O&A, click the common tab, click "action on mouse click" & click one of the first 4 options that suits, then click the little folder below, find the show you want to run & assign it to that button. See SS.

Brian,

Using PTE 6.5.7 and an existing sequence that didn't use a Start Window, all I did was go into Project Options...Main, clicked on the Customize Windows button alongside the descriptor "Windows (Help, Startup, Custom)". In the resultant pop-up window I ticked "Show Startup Window" and then clicked on the "Edit Startup" window. This took me to a panel where I could have added an image and text to my Startup window. I "OK"'d my way back out and ran a "Preview". The Startup window was displayed silently and the sequence began, with properly synchronized music when the Run button was clicked.

Hope this helps. I'm not sure where these controls are in v6.0.

regards,

Peter
