Paolo Scolari
Hello!I have created a presentation with a 1024x576 resolution and on my PC I can visualize it very well.Afterward I have burned a DVD choosing the 16:9 format (PAL System) but when I try to see it on my Sony Bravia wide screen TV the images appear wider and deformed; the display is cutted and the right and left end sides are not visible. Moreover they appear two black bands one on the top and the other on the bottom (even though this is the minor problem to me). Can somebody help me?Somebody told me about anamorphic, but I don't know what to do.Thank you for the attention.Kind regardsPaolo Scolari
davegee
Make your slide show in the 16:9 format - use any resolution (1920x1080).In Project options, UNTICK the option: FIXED SIZE OF SLIDE.When you make the 768x576 PAL DVD the portion used will be 768x432 and will UPSCALE to fit your TV - expect less quality than on your computer when playing the EXE.If you have a Sony Bravia and it is fairly new you might find that it has a USB socket and a built-in Media Player? If it has you can experiment with making a 1920x1080 H.264 MPEG4 to play from a Memory Key (or HDD - 500Gb MAX).That way you will get true 1920x1080 High Definition PTE shows on your TV - EQUAL to your Computer Monitor when playing the EXE.DG. Paolo Scolari
Hello!Thank you for your reply.I have followed your instructions but I do not know how to set up the 768x432 resolution in order to create a PAL DVD.Burning the DVD normally it plays very well on the PC but when I try to see it on TV the defect is the same as before.I have no problems with the USB MPEG4 but I need to create a DVD.Do you have any suggestions? Thank you for your attentionKind regardsPaolo
davegee
In Project Options / Screen - Untick Fixed Size of Slide - Click OK.In PUBLISH - Click on Create DVD Video Disc (If you have Video Builder?).Drag your Project.pte into the bottom area.Click on Next and create your Title Page.Click on Next and choose your Options - I would advise that you create the ISO file and burn with your DVD Burning software - if this is not possible use Burn DVD disc.If you DO NOT have Video Builder - Click on PUBLISH and then AVI Video file.Choose your options and click on Create AVI.Choose the location to save the AVI and click on SAVE.KEEP PTE OPEN and Go To your DVD Burning Software and burn the AVI that you have just created. You can go to the chosen folder and play the AVI to make sure all is well but .......................DO NOT CLICK ON FINISH UNTIL THE DVD IS BURNT. Paolo Scolari
Hi Dave,Thank you for your replay.Il seams to be a TV or DVD reader problem. The DVD I burned with 16:9 format works well on the PC (16:9 format, no image distortion), instead on the TV is managed as if it where in 4:3 format. In fact with the 16:9 view, images are enlarged and both lateral sides are cuttet. With 4:3 view set on the TV, images are only cutted at the sides, but whitout deformation. I use as DVD reader a Philips videorecorder. My TV is a Sony Bravia. Any suggests?Thank'sPaolo
davegee
I would start with the Philips unit.It is unlikely to be the TV.DG
