Urban Decay

One of my Grandaughters Fedra (almost 18)came to visit us in the new apartment with her mother today. She brought with her a memory stick with a number of pictures for a college project called Urban Decay. They were taken around various sites in Ardwick & Belle Vue Manchester. After seeing them I couldn't let the opportunity of building a show around them pass. As for the sound track I chose a track from an album on Amazon called appropriately Urban Decay. Not my type of music, but I think it suits the show.

Mechanics. 42.1mb, 32 slides, run time 2.44 minutes, slide size fixed, AR 5-4.

Sorry Eric, it breaks my 40mb limit and I can't risk the cost of any more band width. What a shame, I would have loved to have seen it. :P

You're behind the times Barry, we've moved house & have a faster download speed now. :P

G'daughter has the "EYE" - must have inherited it ;)

it is a wonder the town councillors don't demo most of the buildings

Hi Ken

Afraid I can't take paternal credit, you don't have to look far in our larger towns & cities to see more of the same. Maybe I should send them a copy?

USUALLY ALL THE SMALL STORES

become tattoo, body piercing and the like -- we got them :)

big cities they try to convert to studio's for the "artsy" types

one of the big problems when they want to demo - ASBESTOS REMOVAL -- adds to cost big time - so they walk away and the taxpayer is stuck with the demo cost

Interesting collection, Eric. Thinking about it you have to have urban decay before someone thinks of replacing it, the problem being is sometimes what replaces it is not much better.

I see BB is as spiky as ever.

Hi Eric,

A very interesting collection of photographs which reflect the decay we all have in our cities unfortunately.

The music, probably not to all our liking does suit the show.

I would love to photograph the urban decay, filth and squaller in our city, but unfortunately would fear for my life,

my camera and personal possessions, a fact of life in most of our cities in my country.

Your granddaughter can be congratulated on her project.

Thank you for sharing.

Thanks all. I remember when she was born two months premature & nearly didn't make it. Re BB, would'nt be the same on here without Mr Grumpy.

Hi Eric!

I like the first version better. Although the music is not my cup of tea

it surely goes well with the pictures. The show could improve with some more

close-ups.

Hi Lennart

Happy New Year.

Can't oblige with close ups, my Grandaughter was the photographer.

Regards Eric

At least I know my Dropbox account works.
