cead Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 Igor,Is it true that the automatically starting of the video converter (when a video is added in the project) in the final version of PTE 7.0 is removed again ?Frans Quote
Lin Evans Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 Hi Frans,To my knowledge, the video converter has "never" automatically started, but has always been an option. If you select the video then right click the mouse, you will see the option to convert.Best regards,Lin Quote
nobeefstu Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 Frans,Is it true that the automatically starting of the video converter (when a video is added in the project) in the final version of PTE 7.0 is removed again ?V7 final build should offer the option to convert the video when added ... it is not automatic. However, PTE only offers to convert if the added video doesnot meet its requirements for best playback. Therefore, not all video files will need to be converted. What is your video format and its resolution ?from Igor :When you add a heavy video file (H.264 codec at 1280x720p and larger), PicturesToExe will suggest optimize this video file. Converted file will be automatically attached to the project. Quote
davegee Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 Lin,It's possible that Frans is refering to the recent Betas where, when you tried to add a video, the pop up would ask if you wanted to optimise? It no longer seems to do that even with files which I have previously had to optimise.I have a limited number of videos available to check with, perhaps you could try one?DG Quote
Aginum Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 Hi,Yes ....If you choose "Optimize" conversion starts automatically ...Charlie Quote
