jdearman
Jim,Will it create the ISO option (all other options turned off)?DGDave,I plead ignorance.I do not know what an ISO option isJim
davegee
Last page of Video Builder.Turn all options off other than the ISO option. If it will create the ISO option then it is your DVD burner etc options that are causing the problem.P.S. Have you changed anything since you last used VB to create a DVD?DG
Guest Yachtsman1
Jim Has your 2 year video builder licence run out? If it has it will work with your original 6.5 but you will have to buy an upgrade for 7.Yachtsman1.

Have you changed anything since you last used VB to create a DVD?DGDave,As we both already know, you are far more advanced than I. However again, I do not know what the ISO option is nor can I relate to what the last page of video builder is. I have not changed anything since creating my last DVD.Another responder to my request for help suggested that my license for video builder may have expired. I have looked through my old records and cannot find when my video builder license started. I do remember having this problem in the past, but do not remember how far back into the past. I am ok with assuming that my video license has expired, ready to renew even if not expired, just want to get on with this wonderful software. As I understand, the upgrades to my PTE V7.0 deluxe are free and I have upgraded. How do I upgrade my Video Builder? I followed some of the comments in FAQ and found where I could buy PTE, but not Video Builder. I hate to be a pest.I appreciate any and all adviceJim
wideangle
JimLoad up PTE then click 'Help' on the Menu bar at the top of the screen. Now click on 'About PicturesToExe...'This will tell you the state of your Deluxe licence.Regards, wideangle
davegee
I think that you would get a definite message saying that you need to load a key.The fact that it is not responding suggests something else.In VB you keep clicking on NEXT until you reach the last page with:Project NameCreate MPEG2Create DVD FoldersCreate ISO FileBurn DVD discTurn all other options off and leave the ISO option on - click on start. If it works it will tell us something.DG
nobeefstu
jdearman,Was the .pte file you are trying to make a DVD with created in V.7 ?If no, save the .pte file (using Save As) in PTE v7 first. Then open that .pte file in VideoBuilder.

The movie clips, which played good and at the right speed on my computer, played jerky and skippy on the TV. What did I do wrong? I remember at one time being prompted if I wanted to use the original file or optimize the file. I choose original because it worked good on the computer. Should I have chosen to optimize?? If so, How do I go back and optimize?Your thoughtsJim
davegee
Dave,It worked!!What did it tell us??I went ahead a burned a disc and put it in the TV DVD. How did you burn it to the DVD?The method I asked you to try is the method I have always used when writing from PTE to a DVD.After creating the ISO file I just double click on it and the correct module in ROXIO kicks in to burn it to DVD. Never made a coaster.Works every time! And the beauty of it is that if I want multiple copies I don't have to start from the beginning again.DG
