I created an intro page with buttons to show 8 avs. It works perfectly on my computer.

But when I transferred the .exe files on the laptop,

the individual AV's work but the intro page with the buttons does not work.

The PC has windows XP and the laptop windows 7 ; could this be the problem ?

When you create a link via a button in PTE to a slide show, the link may be something like this (D being a secondary drive perhaps) D:/photos/PTE_shows/My Slide Shows/A Summers day.exe

The important part is the last part A Summers day.exe

When you put these slide shows on a disk, you have to adjust the address in the Objects and Animations Common Tab because Your CD will look on the D drive and while it may find the slide shows on your PC, it won't when you put the disk in another PC. The other PC may not even have a D drive !

What you need to see in the address section is this "A Summers Day.exe" (Including the "") so remove all the rest and things will work OK, but make sure that on the CD the files are all on the root of the CD, in other words don't put anything in folders and you wll find your way there.

Did you first make a folder, add your exe files & menu folder then transfer the whole folder?

Hi marie-laure something else to bear in mind if you are using run and return from you intro page buttons, the intro page and ALLthe slideshows must be created with the same version of PTE. For existing shows this just means opening the PTE files with the current version and re-creating the .exe files.

As Barry said, strip out everything in the address before "Myshow.exe" for every button.

Put the Menu and 8 AVs in a folder and transfer the folder to the laptop.

Should work OK.
