That pretty much says it all. The first picture in the sequence opens up but then it freezes, nothing happens, the first image stays on the screen with no sound and no second, third image etc. this slide show worked fine on 2 desktops but wont work in the laptop.

Roger:

I am not "up" on DELL laptop models, but

1. did the show run from the CD on the two desktops ?

2. are you trying to run it from the CD on laptop ?

3. Will it run on the laptop from the hard drive ?

4. What size are your images (pixels and kb)? (should be 1024x768 max generally and 200kb max)

5. What time did you set between the end of one transition and the start of the next? (Should be 50ms at least, if I remember)

6. What are spec differences between the two desktops and the laptops?

First thing I will try is converting the .wma file I am using to mp3, know of any good, free converters?

Also, the same thing happened on one of the desktops. I burned the CD on Desktop Computer A. CD wont play correctly in Computer A but plays correctly in Computer B. A CD burned on Computer B plays correctly in Computer B but not A, go figure.

Roger,

My best guess at the moment is that your WMA file is the issue.

Did the WMA file originate from PC B even though you burned from PC A ?

Your WMA file may well be protected ... and wont play on another PC. Such a case causes the very issue your experiencing.

I dont ever work with WMA files ... so I cant help you in a converter. Others here Im sure will have some suggestions.

Note :

Simple test is to try and play just the WMA file on all the PCs. If it fails .... its your WMA file that s your issue.
