-noel- Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 Hello,This is my first post here.I'm very pleased with the features and the ease of use of PTE. I've tried nearly all slideshow programs I've found in the web, but I always get frustrated with missing features (e.g Mac OS iPhoto), missing smoothness during playback (e.g. Magix ) or about too much complexity and missing usability (wings platinum, m.objects, ...)The only fundamental thing, which I am missing and which 100% holds me off from buying PTE is: color management / ICC / monitor profiles. My imaging workflow is completely color managed, but PTE would break this.Is there a chance to get color management implemented in the near future?Kind regardsnoel Quote
xahu34 Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 During playback, PTE loads the images as they are, and it does not produce its own graphical data as Wings Platinum or m.objects. If PTE would run shows color managed, transformations of color spaces had to be performed on the fly. As a consequence, the overall performance might be bad. What I would regard as possible were a feature that PTE would support the creation of copies of a given project whose images were transformed to chosen color spaces. On the other hand, this can be done easily outside of PTE. Export a PTE project via "Backup in Zip". Unzip this copy into a new folder. View the folder in XnView. Perform a batch conversion in XnView while transforming all images to the color space that you want to see.Regards,Xaver Quote
