Guest Yachtsman1 Posted January 28, 2012 Report Posted January 28, 2012 For viewers who haven't heard of Southport, it's situated 15 miles north of the mouth of the river Mersey. It is 10 miles south of its big brother Blackpool. We moved here in August and the pictures in the show were taken from September to date. Essentially it's a collection of snap shots in a random order. I had recorded a voice over, but to get the shots to match the voice over would have been too much trouble. I came across a recording that had been a live radio broadcast by a mythical family called the Bradshaws, it made me laugh so much I decided to ditch my VO and use the "Bradshaws". My wife said she remembered the series, but I hadn't.Anyway the show mechanics. Mediafire 20.5 MB download, 68 slides, 6.5m run time, aspect ratio 5-4, slide size fixed. Lancashire dialect translations available if needed. Warning, show contains profanity, descriptions of bodily functions.and another animation attempt. Guest Yachtsman1 Posted January 28, 2012 Report Posted January 28, 2012 Hi KenI think I'd better explain the "mess". It isn't man made, there are a profusion of shell fish inhabiting the beach, the "mess" is old razor clam & other shellfish shells. Because the tide only reaches the sea wall at springs you get 20 days of shells all washing onto the foreshore at spring tides, which gives the gulls & other birds a fish supper. Thanks for looking.
