Ken Cox Posted February 29, 2012 Report Posted February 29, 2012 ERIC A REAL PIECE OF WORKbut i cant let you off that easyI had a hassleblad swc that was a real piece of glass -- it was so good that NASA took it on the first landing the moon the only problem with it IMHO was if you did not shoot dead level [it has its own level] verticals tilt in - consider this next time when shooting columns - use not so wide a wide angle lens and back up - you may lose some but i think it will make a better pictureno jaggies or shimmer and filled my ws monitorcolor, detail and contrast "spot on"ken Quote
Guest Yachtsman1 Posted February 29, 2012 Report Posted February 29, 2012 Hi KenTrying to shoot in a cathedral with public access is a fine balance in getting the shot without the public interfearing. Most of the shots used an 18-200mm zoom, usually set at 18mm, On the day we were there, there was a TV crew crawling all over the place, who we had to dodge around. I did buy a 35mm later, but didn't use it much inside as in that situation there isn't sufficient room to get the big picture with it. IMO the first picture inside is one of the best I have ever taken. I entered it a comp with the title "Alone With God" & got a highly commended. O forget to mention having to crop for 16-9 really messes things up for this type of shoot. You either like converging verticals or loath them, I don't mind them & prefer them to trying to use software to make them straight.Regards EricYachtsman1 Quote
