Guest Yachtsman1 Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 The Himalayan Gardens in the show are not in the Himalayas, but in a place called Grewelthorpe, which is close to Fountains Abbey in North Yorkshire. The original show was all my wife's own work, but as she is not 100% at the moment, I have taken her pictures, resized them and put them into an all new version. She re-recorded the voice over this morning & I had to source new music as I couldn't find the original project file, it's probably lurking in some other folder. As this is the last show needed to our next public showing, I'm taking a break to let me eyes re-focus, so the remaing 42 will have to wait awhile.Mechanics. Mediafire download http://www.mediafire.com/?1dtd15ggo8ajvfz29.3MB, 6m 42s run time, 53 slides, 16-9 aspect ratio. In this show there are a number of pans & zooms with lots of fine detail such as leaves. Initially I was having trouble getting them smooth. However, following my post about shimmering & mipmapping & Igors suggestion to use the sharpening adjustment in 7.04, I was able to smooth out the dodgy shots. However again, IMO the "sharpening" adjustment appears to work as an adjustable mipmapping in this instance. Some of the shots were increased from a default -100 to +100 to stabilise them. So it's worth while tring this if you are having similar problems.Yachtsman1 Quote

David Porter Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 Hi Eric,This one works really well in 16:9, as I know it is not always easy to convert when you have composed in a different aspect ratio. I guess flowers and trees are easier to crop than building. For my taste a little too many vertical pans although I understand the reason for them and some are a little on the quick side especially when starting. I am sure your fan club at the residents get- together will thoroughly enjoy this show. Quote
Guest Yachtsman1 Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 Thanks Mick. With a captive audience I haven't had any walk outs yet Regards EricYachtsman1.PS Hunton Steam fair on the go now, having real difficulty cropping to 16-9, having to lose the smoke from the chimneys, which gave it some character in the original. This one is going to take a few days to complete as there are on site recordings to edit also. Quote
