Guest Yachtsman1 Posted June 19, 2012 Report Posted June 19, 2012 Hi KenNot much response to your post so I thought I would contribute. Any pans I've done have been constructed using Elements, but by coincidence, we were in our local botanic gardens Sunday afternoon recording the town's Salvation Army band giving one of a series of free summer concerts. I had my camera mounted on a Manfrotto tripod with the standard 3 way camera head, with two ways locked off & just the rotate free. It's pretty smooth, but not as good as a fluid video head. During the first number I did a 360 degree video pan, it has been shortened & optomised in PTE to keep the file size down. It's available here http://www.mediafire.com/?iia3112bdo16v1s .Regards EricYachtsman1. Quote
Ken Cox Posted June 19, 2012 Author Report Posted June 19, 2012 Eric - not too shabby considering you dont have a fluid head - i have 2 monster Manfrottos cw quick release fluid heads frm my vhs video days -- it takes a lot of practice - to make it easier for the camera guys they viewed the scene with 13" color tv's practice and hold your breath a lot to minimize any movement ken Quote
Guest Yachtsman1 Posted June 19, 2012 Report Posted June 19, 2012 Hi KenSurely you don't need two heads, why not donate one to a good cause?Regards EricYachtsman1. Quote
