Lin Evans Posted July 4, 2012 Report Posted July 4, 2012 Hi Laurence,While posting a reply to your query about a feature to allow copy of animation to multiple slides, a Forum Error message appeared and your post, Dave's post, Ken's post and my post were accidentally deleted. In answer to your question - that feature has been discussed on numerous occasions but it is the prevailing view that each individual slide is different and that rarely does this work well. There are a few presentation slideshow packages which have such a feature, but these software packages are rarely, if ever found used in serious AV competitions. The "easiest way" with PTE to perform what you want is to enter one slide, do your animations then right click on that slide and choose "Copy." Next simply press Ctrl V as many times as you want to add additional slides. Next go to slide two and click on it to highlight the slide and use the small icon on the upper right of your screen on the Main Screen between "Comment" and "Add Sound..." to select slide two. Simply repeat the previous for each additional slide you want and each new slide will retain all animations you have selected on slide one.I apologize for the loss of your post - the error has been registered to the log on the forum software.Best regards,Lin Quote
laurence1 Posted July 5, 2012 Report Posted July 5, 2012 Thanks for re-posting Lin. I was replying to the same thread as you at the same time - maybe that threw the forum software. The method you describe will save me time, so thanks for that. I hadn't spotted that "change image file" button. For what its worth, and without opening up a discussion that you've already had at length, I quite often see on BBC TV programs the repeated use of a gentle zoom or pan on several still images one after the other, and it has its place in my view. I'd like to see WnSoft respond to a wide variety of customer views. Thanks again for the help. Quote
fh1805 Posted July 5, 2012 Report Posted July 5, 2012 I'd like to see WnSoft respond to a wide variety of customer views.Laurence,Rest assured, Wnsoft does respond to its customer's views. PTE has established itself as a leading product (if not the leading product) in the slideshow market because it does listen and respond - often very quickly indeed. The head of Wnsoft, Igor Kokarev, when planning each new version of PTE, always takes into account the ideas and suggestions made by the users here on the forum. Of course, he cannot implement every single one of these ideas and has to choose those that don't conflict with his own ideas as to the direction he wants the product to go in order to widen its appeal. Between major releases, there will be one or more minor release (for example: after v7.0.0 there was 7.0.1, 7.0.2, etc. currently 7.0.6). Sometimes these are just bug fix releases, but sometimes a minor release will introduce additional small features.regards,Peter Quote
