Nashiki
Hello all,I am considering to buy Pictures to Exe, Thanks xahu34!!There is one question left for me at the moment.I have a computer with an internal video processer Intel® GMA HD 3000 build into the Intel® Core™ i5-2500K CPU, "Sandy Bridge".Is this ok to be able to use the whole functionality of PTE? or do I need to buy an extra video card? Thanks in advance,Nashiki
xahu34
Nashiki, all you can do is making some tests. Do pans, zooms, and rotations run smooth, or not? What happens if you run several animated images at the same time? Do the 3D-transition effects run smooth? Quite demanding: Animation of objects in mask containers. I think that your kind of video system cannot give the performance of a medium or even high-end graphics card. All major AV-tools use Direct3D, so you may see some shortcomings with all of them.Regards,Xaver
Igor
Intel GMA HD 3000 is a slow video card. I can't recommend this variant. But you can try the following demos and slideshows created in PicturesToExe on that laptop:http://www.wnsoft.com/files/picturestoexe/slideshows/TheDom-Smile.ziphttp://www.wnsoft.com/files/picturestoexe/slideshows/Presenting-PicturesToExe.ziphttp://www.wnsoft.com/files/picturestoexe/slideshows/PicturesToExe-Demo.zipIt will help you make the decision. Conflow
Bert,I would be very slow in recommending you to 'retro-fit' an external Graphics-Card into your Intel-i5-GMD/3000 Computerfor the reason that I see no technical advantages in doing so ~ Thats my personal opinon !!The new 'Intel i5.Sandy-Bridge System' is the latest thing in "Pc-32.Nanometre Chip-Technology" and using this technologyIntel have selected the (old) HD-3000 Graphics-Architecture ~ Now completely re-designed and re-engineered into the new"Sandy-Bridge i5 Processor"....Yes it is completely intergrated into the i5 Processor-Chip ~ its part of it.The advantages of this System are:- Nil switching Time-lags ~ Nil wiring Capacitive effects ~ much lower Heat-generation and the absence of an external Graphics-Processor with its 'inherent' Time-lag in reading and writing to your Monitor. To compare the (old) HD-3000 Graphics-System to the redesigned Intergrated GMA HD-3000 is a complete non-starter for the reason that the new GMA-3000 has 'Auto-Acceleration' from 650.mHz~1300.mHz-Clocking depending on the Graphics demands whereas virtually all other external Graphic-Cards have "fixed" Clocking-speeds.I have been using 'Intergrated-Graphic Chip-Sets' for the past 4 years ~ absolutely no problems with them and performance hasbeen excellent and it came as no surprise to me that your System passed the PTE-Graphics Tests. For further reading I attach a Lab-Report from http://www.notebookcheck.net which explains all ~Best of luck with your System.Brian (Conflow)Tests~Intel HD-3000 Graphics-Adapter.zip
