PTE and MMB

This show starts with a MMB bump effect and then a flash zoom with

animated gif. It has 27 Hires 1024 images and

96-44 sound. Let me know if it doesnt play on your machine please.

The zip file contains a sfx that will run automatically in your windows temp

directory and then delete itself.

All pics were taken with my G2 Cannon and massaged in PS7.

Your screen should be set to 1024x768

Had to take the show off my server.

Works ok on win 98 !!!

Files on Temp are not deleted.

You can either tell user to delete them

or delete them when exit.

Goes to show a combination of programs (SFX to launch PTE and PTE to launch MMB) can create a nice, simple, self contained presentation package.

I agree with Boxig ... best to have the temp files removed when completed.

Great show! It did create a temp folder and I am using Windows XP home. Where is this located and what camera did you use for the photos? Oh, the music is great also.

Also worked perfectly on my XP Home. Nice sharp images. Looked for a c:\temp folder and found it but without its prepared icon. But what are MMB and SFX?

I'm running Windows 98SE on this PC and get the following error/popup window:

FMOD Warning

FMOD couldn't initialize DirectSound sound device.

MMBuilder will run without sound support.

Error initializing output device.

After the above error message, I click OK and the show starts with title

– Whidbey Island by MicroSmith and then it goes into the show and music. I don't know if something was missing, but it did seem to work. I'm not sure what sound device MMBuilder is looking for?!?!

Just thought I'd pass this along.

Hi All:

Thanks for your kind comments. I have changed the show now to include PTE with MMB and Flash.

It now will use your windows temp and delete the show after you exit.

Take another look at the intro with MMB and Flash.

Yes, this is a MMB thing. This directly relates to alot of W98/ME OS using older sound cards/ or onboard cards with sound drivers that are not WDM compatable.

You may have a VXD type installed that is not WDM compatable. Updating your sound drivers should solve this issue.

My W98SE has WDM type installed ... and my W98 has VXD type installed but it is WDM compatable. You can verify your type installed using DirectX Diag tool.

MMB is Multimedia Builder ... a menu authoring program.

SFX is a Self extracting zipfile executable type.
