Rskid
Not sure if any of you have seen this, not sure if any of you are interested, but I was impressed.Just wanted to sharehttp://www.imagematics.com
Guest Techman1
Rskid,I use a similiar product and the support is "Top of the Line". It's called "Pictures-To-Exe", while it doesn't create Flash Movies, there are efforts to support these as a front-end or a back-end to PTE. And it now creates AVI files that can be used for DVD's, SVCD's & VCD's.So, I think I'll stay with the Wonderful Product "Pictures-To-Exe" and hope this forum will remain in support of PTE instead of being used to market other competing products which are available. boxig
Huummm.. ..... it gets four Cow Rating From Tucows while PTE gets only five. But it's double the price !
ronwil
Well spoken Fred. I clicked on imagematics and it frightened the living daylights out of me. I am all for the way we are developing in PTE and it is great to be a part of it.Ron [uK]
nobeefstu
Interesting piece of Software ... or should I say several different versions or grades available to suit ones particular needs. A little confusing as to what each version will exactly do. I guess if you want to do it all you need the Pro version at a almost 10X the PTE price.I guess this is what some users ultimately want PTE features to become ... I hope they will also like a 10X price increase too. This may be geared more for the commercial users as they have better means to write off its initial cost. Every piece of sofware has its advantages and disadvantages ... as none is perfect for all users.PTE may not do it all ... but what it does do ... it does it very well ! Lloegyr
nobeefstuTotal agreement with youAs I have said before its horses for courses and each piece of software suits each of us in different ways.MikeMersea Island
Kurt S
C'mon, you guys are being too harsh on that program. I can't tell you how many times I've wanted a program that lets me do an animated rotaion of celery!

Kurt S
Holy cow, you all just made me feel like crapHey, that's what we're here for! But seriously, don't feel bad. It's good to see what the competition is up to. It keeps the programmers on their toes and makes us feel good when we see software the does half of what PTE does at twice the price. nobeefstu
Rskid,I hope my post didnt convey that impression. My basic review of that software was quite brief ... since I actually never used it.I can easily see some major differences ... their muliple versions and prices. They had lots of nice features. However, I could not see use of Object/Butttons and a actual Music Syncronization. Every piece of sofware has its advantages and disadvantages ... as none is perfect for all users.I downloaded their demo pe_tour.exe and tried it. Upon closing from full screen ... my pc taskbar disappeared and my desktop changed to 640X420. I had to reboot to get back to normal. If their own distributable demos give issues ... Im not willing to test/tryout this software.
