Lakelandlass Posted December 2, 2012 Report Posted December 2, 2012 Following on from INTO THE HIGH ARCTIC, we go on to explore the fjords and glaciers of the National Park, a geologist’s paradise, before arriving at Scoresbysund or Ittoqqortoormit (in Greenlandic). The trappers living here are the only ones allowed to hunt within the North East Greenland National Park. With grateful thanks to Bill Hines, as usual, on www.beechbrook.com/pteMaureen Quote
Ken Cox Posted December 2, 2012 Report Posted December 2, 2012 Maureennot enough words to describe your latest masterpiece - it almost looks like you had a mist/fog filter on at times -- i had to put it up on the 37" tv to really enjoy it and thanks for manual control B)/> ken Quote
Antbrewer Posted December 2, 2012 Report Posted December 2, 2012 Maureen,This AV is superb. The blend of the audio and the visual matches perfectly to show this stark desolate yet beautiful landscape. The photography is spot on with some lovely transtitions.Thank you.Anthony Quote

David Porter Posted December 2, 2012 Report Posted December 2, 2012 Wow - and Thomas Tallis as well. I don't think i will get to sleep tonight thinking of your brilliant A/V. It just gets better and better. Quote
Bert Posted December 2, 2012 Report Posted December 2, 2012 Maureen, Great photography of a beautiful area, the slow panning and the music of your show made this a superb AV experience and one of the best shows I have seen on this forum. Thanks for showing,Bert Quote
Lakelandlass Posted December 3, 2012 Author Report Posted December 3, 2012 First of all, thanks to you ALL for your generous comments.Ken. I wasn't sure whether to include the Aurora shots as holding the shutter open handheld on a moving ship is not the best way to photographs the Northern Lights, but decided it would finish the show off. Bye the way, if anyone plans to photograph the Aurora at any time, do remember to remove any UV/skylight filter from the front of your lens, unlike myself who ended up with concentric rings on each image the first night we saw them. I just got carried away and forgot.Mick - I thought you would enjoy Thomas Tallis. It's a beautiful piece.Ant - your description of the landscape over there is bang on. It really is stunning. The geologists amongst us were in seventh heaven.Bert - I'm pleased you enjoyed the show.Maureen Quote
