I've added a button to an object, along with some text. Rather than guess how long it takes someone to read the page, I made a button that simply says "Next>". However, once the time elapses for the slide (about 4 seconds), it moves to the next, without ever considering that there is a button there.

The show is not synced.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Tony,

I assume your not trying to create a video show here.

If you have all your Slides timed to advance about every 4 seconds (as you indicate) and you want your User to press your Button Object ... use the Customize Slide button ( beside the Object Editor button) of your selected slide to adjust the timing just for that slide.

On Main tab of Customize Slide, enable box Use own time preference.Enter a time thats rather lenghty ... like 10 minutes or just 0 min 0 sec for undefined amount. Therefore your Slide with the Button Object wont advance till the User presses the Button or unless the 10 minutes expires. Got the idea ?

In the Project Option - Main Tab

You can uncheck "Display each slide for:" on the bottom (Default is 4 Sec)

This will keep the show from advancing to the next slide

This option will do all the slides. If you have text on all of them.
