Walter Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 Help!, PTE does not like my orderAfter producing 3-4 slide shows with PTE without problems (except beeing not able to place pictures of a size, I like to have, into the objekt-editor), I have today the following fault:When making an *.exe file with the Name “Uhrig800600.exe” under File/Create Slideshow As, I get after a few seconds a screen saying: “Stream write error”I registrate, that an *.exe file Uhrig800600.exe is aktually made, but smaller as it should be (~195.500 KB instead of ~ 439500 KB). When I start this *.exe-file, I get a screen, saying “Exception EL ist Error in module Uhrig800600.exe at 0007146E. List index out of bounds (0)"What hat happened, what can I do ?Walter Quote
nobeefstu Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 WalterIs your final exe file size smaller by the approx amt of a music file you may have used in your show ?~195.500 KB instead of ~ 439500 KBDid your Show Preview correctly prior to compiling to exe ?If a Music File is creating your issue ... remove the Music File and recompile using just your Slides as a test . Then test with another new piece of Music ( not old one)My initial guess here is you have some sort of Music file issue. You will need to supply more Show details/content used to aid you better. Walter Posted February 2, 2004 Author Report Posted February 2, 2004 Thank's to nobeefstu and everybody, who tried to help me !I found the reason: the directory to which I tried to save, was full, wenn 42% of the *.exe file was created Anyway, PTE-users should register, that there is no windows-hint to lack of drive-space in this case!Walter Quote
nobeefstu Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 Walter,Glad you got it sorted ! I will have to add to my personal knowledge base that "Stream write error" can also include the "lack of drive-space" to create compilation. Quote
