Hi Maureen

That one tweaked the memory banks.

We spent 3 months in a Gitte in Honfleur from December to March 2005. Thatched roof with snow on it at times, not to be recommended. I did do a show called Normandy Interlude" which I thought I'd posted on Mediafire but don't seem to be able to find it. What really made me sit up & take take notice was the opening shots of the harbour & a yacht with a hard topped bimini, which if I'm correct we came across in Porto Olympico Barcelona on our way from Corsica to the Costa Del sol. If it's the same yacht we spent some time with the owner, an American who had made the bimini himself & I was considering doing the same. I took detailed measurements & drawings, but eventually shelved the idea as it could be dangerous in heavy weather. See attached pictures.

Sorry to digress, back to your show, the only thing I would change is the order of the music, IMO La Mer is more in keeping with the first sequences. Otherwise excellent as usual.

Thanks Eric. I did think that Honfleur may have been one of your ports of call during your sailing days. I wonder if it IS the same boat - these were taken in April 2008.

As regards the music, I didn't really think that the lively 'Pigalle' would be appropriate with the church and bells at the end. Just my opinion, I guess.

Hi Maureen

We were in the Med from 2001 to 2004, the Honfleur jaunt was after we'd swallowed the anchor. The boat in question had been more adventurous than us he'd come across the Atlantic to get to Barcelona, Happy days.
