Donfoster Posted August 11, 2013 Report Posted August 11, 2013 I have posted a show on Beechbrook called "It's about time". I did the show about 4 years ago, the voice over was very poor quality and I've just got around to trying to improve it. Thanks to Bill Hines for all the sequences he's allowed me to post on Beechbrook.I did not write the original poem in the sequence, I got that from the local church when they posted a leaflet through the letterbox. I rang the church to get permission to use the poem.I had to change the poem to fit with the sequence. The sequence is basically about my life and how I would like it to have been, with some emphasis on how precious this life really is.Hope you enjoy the sequence.Don Foster Quote
morturn Posted August 11, 2013 Report Posted August 11, 2013 DonGreat piece of work, you have some fantastic images there, and have categorised and presented them in a unique way. The whole show hangs together really well. Thanks for sharing it. Quote
Guest Yachtsman1 Posted August 12, 2013 Report Posted August 12, 2013 Hi DonOf the three shows I've downloaded this morning, I enjoyed this one the most. It had everything, a bit of animation, a voice over & a story. Loved the closing pictures. Only minor niggle was the balance between the voice over & the music. I have hearing problems which are worsening as time goes on, but I had to turn up the volume to hear the words which made the background music too loud. Other than that, loved it.Yachtsman1. :)/> :)/> :)/> Quote
Donfoster Posted August 12, 2013 Author Report Posted August 12, 2013 Thank you Morturn and Eric for your kind comments, very pleased you enjoyed the sequence. Eric I will revisit the show and see if I can improve the balance between my voice and the music, thank you for pointing that out. Quote
Bert Posted August 14, 2013 Report Posted August 14, 2013 Hi Don,I liked your show very much, the great images with the reading of the poem and the ticking clock, made for a thoughtful AV show. Thanks for showing. Quote

snapcam Posted September 2, 2013 Report Posted September 2, 2013 Hello DonJust came across your sequence.I'm glad I pauseD and downloaded it.I thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing (IT STRUCK A CHORD). I thought maybe a calendar rather than the clock ,but No the clock worked fine and the ending brings the attention back again for the final few seconds.Enjoyed your reading of the poem (good voice). Finally its great to see an A.V. that's not just a slide show.SNAPCAM Quote
Donfoster Posted September 3, 2013 Author Report Posted September 3, 2013 Snapcam, thank you for your comments, really pleased you enjoyed the sequence. I did originally think of using a calendar, but the clock shows the final seconds, not the final day which I thought was more relevant. Quote
